The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and provided a serene retreat from the bustling city. The attention to detail in every aspect of the stay—from housekeeping to dining—was truly commendable. The staff was incredibly courteous and always went the extra mile to ensure a seamless experience. A special mention goes to Ms Rajeswari Menon, who played a pivotal role in making our trip truly memorable. She was exceptionally helpful in planning our Mahabalipuram itinerary, offering insightful recommendations that made our experience even more enriching. Her in-depth knowledge, patience, and willingness to tailor the itinerary to our preferences were highly appreciated. Thanks to her guidance, we had a smooth and well-organised trip, enjoying the historical wonders and coastal charm of Mahabalipuram without any hassle.

In-built facilities like dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine etc.

1. We stayed on the 14th floor but still could hear construction work, i mean I expected soundproofing to be better with double pane glasses etc. luckily I had some ear buds which helped otherwise it would have been impossible to sleep at peace which is rather a shame for a 5-star facility like this! 2. The quality of equipment was rather mediocre like the dishwasher or washer were not top of the line but were good enough. 3. The food options were limited and some were not available in the night e.g. dosa at 2 AM etc.

The location and the staff !! An epitome of hospitality by the staff members( that to my delight consisted mainly female employees, thanks to Ratan Tata ji), were always there to address a query and provide the response for any questions regarding food, in room dining , welcome facilities etc etc. I had a very candid conversation with the lady at the reception desk and she gave me the background this facility ! Definitely staying here again when I come to visit the ramanujan SEZ. Thank you Taj or I would like to say “Waaah Taj”…

Friendly and helpful staff especially at the restaurant and throughout the hotel from the security staff, spa staff to reception staff, welcome at check-in, spa facilities, nice powerful shower, toiletries, good size room. Quick and seamless check in and check out.

No separate bar area to have a drink and relax. Few places of the bathroom could have been cleaner. Invoice sent by email had no details and had someone else's address (GDPR issues).

Excellent property, well trained and friendly staff. Highly recommended! Great cocktails at the bar. We stayed overnight after a wedding reception. The food was excellent and the event was a success. We had a very spacious room, fully equipped with a kitchenette, coffee machine, and all appliances. Luxurious furnishings.

Noise. The only issue is the road noise from MG road all night despite sound-proofed windows.

Room and Breakfast are ok. SPA was just ok. Overall, this hotel was just ok. Games room and Gym were functional.

They must have indicated that this is a business hotel. Would have booked another one if that was clear enough Cuboards in the kitchen were locked up; not functional. Cannot cast youtube on to TV; restricted to Tata sky channels as confirmed by reception. We took a room with balcony, but it is not enjoyable because of road/metro construction sound and dust.

But what truly set the Taj Wellington Mews apart was the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. One particular staff member Abin, went above and beyond to prepare a comprehensive list of attraction sights in Mahabalipuram. His knowledge and enthusiasm made exploring the city a breeze, and I discovered hidden gems I would have otherwise missed.
