There’s nowhere to have supper on a Sunday in most French towns. So, they should take advantage and open. I know France closes in august but just to leave a typewritten notice to say the restaurant here is closed for holidays is pathetic in a national chain. Does Accor understand? Does this mean you sleep in someone else’s dirty sheets and use their towels because the femmes de chambre are on holiday? The answer is that Accor NEVER acknowledges nor responds to these questionnaires. Here’s hoping. My consultancy fee as a confrère du metier is zero. Just do it better.

Thank you kind and generous spirited Aline! Thank you inspired and helpful Catherine! We already knew this was a good hotel but particularly appreciated the staff on this occasion.. We didn't realise the restaurant was closed at the weekend these days. I did call the hotel at least 3 times in the morning but the phone was permanently engaged?? And following problems with no internet at the aire en route I didn't receive Aline's news until it was too late. She went to some trouble to be helpful and a simple meal in our room got us through the night thanks to her. This hotel is as lovely as we remember. Sorry to miss out on the restaurant this time. On departure Catherine identified a group hotel that would work for us on the next stage of the journey. nothing was too much trouble.

Our room was very comfortable with a window overlooking a pedestrianised street. Very central for a walk around this charming town. There was ample underground parking on site. The breakfast buffet was generous and gave us a great start to a day involving a long drive south.

For some reason the receptionist absolutely refused to call a local restaurant to see if they had a table for two. She may have known that this was avery popular place and would definitely have no space on a Saturday evening but still....

The hotel is in a great position within the town. The staff were very efficient and helpful. Car parking was a breeze and secure. The room was large and well equipped with a delightful bathroom. The restaurant was large and well used by the locals probably because of the range of the menu, the quality of the food and the size of the portions. Needless to say we enjoyed our meal and our stay.

We keep on coming as this is a great stop for our travel to the mountains. I love the location bang on the middle of Chaumont, on the pedestrianised area. We always park in their parking. Beds are great, rooms comfortable, great breakfasts, lots of restaurants nearby! Staff are lovely!

The location and the fact that it had secure, underground parking and exterior gated parking behind. It also had two rooms large enough for a big family which they arranged to be next door to each other.

No extra pillows in the rooms and no English optional channels on the television.

Excellent location in the city centre, private parking, fast and friendly reception, pretty room with roof beams and unusual layout.

Excellent breakfast. Always plenty of food and drink available.

Disappointed that we couldn’t get into the restaurant despite asking on arrival if available. Between taking our bags upstairs and coming back down all tables had been taken. Next time, if we are able, we will reserve a table beforehand.

Really nice hotel for a stopover. The hotel was clean and the room was compact but well appointed. The secure parking was great as were the staff and Breakfast was plentiful.

The only minor point was that we found it difficult to find somewhere to eat in the evening as they all appeared to be closed which was odd for a Saturday night! That obviously isn’t the hotels fault but it’s worth bearing in mind

The room and breakfast were excellent. The view was poor, out the back of the hotel, but that was fine we were only there for one night. The evening meal was very good indeed.

The room was a bit lacking, there was no coffee making facility but otherwise all was excellent.
