- the efficient and warm welcome - our two dogs were truly welcome and free to be - the place holds a peaceful atmosphere - the view from the Garden and the breakfast tables is amazing - the location is perfect to visit Langres and take the walk on its city walls - breakfast took in account our allergies and was good, fresh and varied (beautiful and varied fruit salad, fresh juice, eggs, cheese and ham, jams, baguette, pain au chocolate and croissants) - the bedroom is big and the view on the scenery is wonderful, completely silent at night, even with all windows wide open - every language is spoken here (from Spanish to English) - the swimming pool in the sunset is very enjoyable at the end of day - as well as after breakfast (temperature is perfect) - no air conditioning but it didn’t feel needed. And the ventilation on the bed did perfectly the job.

The host was super friendly and accommodating. We were allowed to store our bikes in the massive hallway as the rain has been relentless. It’s a very quirky and interesting house with family members about and a homely feel. Very nicely furnished rooms, big windows, good functional bathroom, comfortable beds, nice linen, tea making facilities, desk. Breakfast was varied and good quality with host on hand to provide good coffee, boiled eggs etc., highly recommend for cyclists. A pool to cool off, amazing views and right in the centre of a wonderful town. Very quiet at night. Recommendations for restaurants were excellent but get in early at opening or book ahead. Very good wine bar in centre of town with seating out the back in the garden. Wish we had booked two nights.

We booked the Royal Room, exceptionally beautiful, spotlessly clean, beautiful ensuite, glorious views from the french windows. Our hostess was delightful & a humanitarian with her story about an old cat who took a liking to my husband. The breakfasts were delicious & the options great. The most beautiful place, it has an atmosphere of calm. The beautiful staircase to our room (we have the heaviest bags!) our hostess wanted to assist us & did. I wish i had stayed longer than two nights & I would go back in a heartbeat.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about. Parking was available but i was tired & decided to park (for free) next door in the local area which was very convenient. It is a very narrow driveway but doable if you take your time & come in at the right angle.

The hotel is located right in the centre of town with private parking. It is a charming traditional town house with lovely views over the valley below. There is a swimming pool in the garden with a nice terrace for breakfast if the weather is fine. The room was spacious and clean with a separate seating area. The breakfast was very good and generous with a good selection of food. Our hostess was very pleasant and helpful and gave us good recommendations for restaurants very close to the hotel.

Gravel parking for a motorcycle is a little tricky but then there won’t be many people touring on motorcycles. Older properties always have fewer amenities like air con etc - but then you lose the character if you go for something modern

Everything ! ! Location is stunning and very convenient. The building is lovely, old but chic. The owner is very helpful and the rooms are great.

Not a fault but a fact, the on site parking is a bit tight and narrow to get into, but there is free parking in the square right next door.

The lady with whom we dealt was excellent, helpful and friendly. Due to being in a traffic jam for over two hours we arrived rather late but we were assisted in every way. This is a real, small mansion, a delight to visit and with excellent facilities, including a very clean pool. The town centre is very close by and the bedroom window views of the city ‘ramparts’are beautiful. The breakfast was outstandingly good !

Everything really, the owner was a delight, very welcoming and happy to recommend restaurants and places to see. The building itself is a lovely old town house, the rooms are wonderful in a quirky (in a good sense) way, the breakfast was nice, the the garden and view are brilliant. Oh, and they have some delightful and friendly cats !!

Parking is a bit tight in their courtyard, but that is hardly their fault, given the age and location of the building.

Superb old building, lovely setting, very friendly owners. We stayed two nights (beginning and end of our trip) and were in two different delightful rooms - Remparts and L'Adorée. Very good petit déjeuner. Altho' we could have parked in the courtyard, we found a place each time in the adjacent carpark on the ramparts. Walk round the ramparts and old town not to be missed! And nearby La Pignata restaurant to be recommended.

Charming building and well placed to enjoy the lovely town, very close for a stroll. Friendly welcome from owner, who is on site 24/7. Great size character room, with comfy bed and we had a terrace. Breakfast excellent. Fresh bread and croissants from bakers, delicious homemade fruit salad, eggs etc cooked and prepared to order. Coffee from an actual coffeemaker. Highly recommend.
