Auberge de la Fontaine is a beautiful building in a little countryside French village .. quiet, traditional and absolutely charming. The food was good, and the en-suite bedrooms very comfortable with quality mattresses for a good nights sleep .. The annexe building, is just 50 x yards from the main building, bar and evening restaurant.. And houses some additional bedrooms and specifically where breakfasts are served.. which are exceptional with sliced meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, fresh bread, and an assortment of pastries, juice, teas and coffees If your in the area treat yourselves to a small piece of French heaven !

An authentic French hotel and restaurant in a rural area. The hotel was jut a few yards from the restaurant. Room shabby chic but very clean with all amenities including a very comfortable bed. The price was amazing £67 for one nights stay. The restaurant cost was €30 for a delicious 4 course meal. What’s not to like ? Loved the church bells on Sunday morning

We stayed here between Switzerland and Paris. We thought we were in the middle of nowhere so were completely surprised at the quaint town and charming inn. We were so grateful for the delicious dinner at the restaurant, very clean and comfortable rooms, and the abundant breakfast. The owners were also super nice. I highly recommend this charming experience!

The hotel is part of an auberge where we had a very good evening meal. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great. It is in a village surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is run by a friendly family.

the rooms more than adequate, the food served was top class and plentiful, but there is nothing else in the village no shops ,restaurants or bars but we used this place as a one night stop over and cant recommend it enough

On arrival you have to check in at 17.00/19.00 we turned up at 15.00 and met a grumpy old bar tender that was quite abrupt and said they were closing and come back later rudely that aside the rest was Perfect

Lovely rural location a few miles away from motorway. A nice help yourself continental breakfast. A very good, typically French evening meal.

The room was very hot. There was a fan, which was great but with 2 halves to a family room only half of us could be cool.

Lovely unique hotel in a tranquil French village. Excellent, very traditional four course evening meal. Unusual but very comfortable, rooms. Our family was perfect for two adults and two teenagers, with essentially two separate rooms and a shared bathroom.

Taxidermy.

Accommodation was good - perfect for a night stopover while on a long journey. We ate at the restaurant, great food and super value. Breakfast - good buffet. Set us up for another days travelling.

Very pleasant little hotel in a tiny village...good dinner and breakfast but the mattress was Extraordinary!

Because of staffing problems the hotel could not let us in until c. 5pm...which was very late and tiring after driving so far.

Great place for a stop en route to or from the Alps. Excellent and reasonable priced dinner and good breakfast , excellent wine by the glass. Make sure you book a big room, not 1/4. GF
