The Altstadthotel is located in the heart of Weilheim in Oberbayern, a charming Bavarian town nestled between Munich and the Alps. The thing we enjoyed the most was the peaceful atmosphere in the old town that features picturesque streets, traditional architecture, and welcoming cafés. We had a couple of glasses of wine in a nice cafe on the central square just a 2 min stroll from the hotel. Surrounded by lakes and rolling hills, this a perfect starting point for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts especially on your way from Munich to Neuschwanstein and Schwangau area.

Please explain if the parking on the street is safe to use, we weren’t sure and risked it over the night.

The hotel is a nice and cosy place in the center of the small town. Everything is nicely appointed. Breakfast was excellent and - weather permitting - you may also sit outside in the quiet courtyard. I was there with my motorcycle and had a 'small technical issue' - Sven, the owner, went out of his way to fix it. Thank you so much! If I travel to the greater Munich region again, I would for sure stay here again.

This was a simply wonderful hotel for our 2-night stay in Weilheim. Our room was beautiful and huge. Very modern bathroom and a comfy bed. The breakfast was the best of our entire trip served outside a pretty courtyard at the back of the hotel. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

We were on the top floor so it was a bit challenging to drag our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. But once we got there, it was worth it! I deducted one point (otherwise a perfect 10) as there was nobody at reception when we arrived. We arrived at a time when reception was to be open and there were some nervous moments when I struggled to master calling a German phone number on a US iPhone. Ultimately, it turned out just fine but a simple text message with a code to enter the hotel would have avoided the problem.

Very nice hotel in the center of Weilheim in a quite side road. The room was very clean and had all I needed. The breakfast was one of the best I had so far in a hotel. They get their bread from a local bakery and it was delicious. Staff was very friendly.

Check in was until 18.00 and the door is locked if you come after. You have instructions on the door how to contact a member of staff to let you in. This means you need a mobile phone to call, which maybe not everyone has.

Very stylish hotel in the centre of Weilheim. Nice big room. Beds were comfortable, excellent breakfast, very friendly hosts.

A table or (bigger) shelves in the bathroom for toilet articles would be nice.

The only small improvement we could think of are blinds to make the rooms completely dark (our kids sleep much better if it's dark)

Interesting style of rooms. Excellent staff. Quite place. Beautiful historic surroundings with restaurants, cafes, found even nice playground for kids. We were travelling with a toddler and everything went by numbers. We arrived when check-in was already closed, but I called a number on the doors and found out that the room was ready for us.

This is very cozy, very well located pets friendly hotel. Online registration is possible, therefore chick-in takes a couple of minutes. Personell is very friendly.

Central location close to the train station and the old town. Good place to stay to travel around Bavaria.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the city’s old town district. They are a lot of restaurants, bars and shops in close proximity. The hotel itself seems to be newly remodeled in an older building, with nicely appointed rooms. The staff deserves an extra mentioning as they have been so helpful and welcoming to us. The breakfast was also rich and plentiful.

We are used to air-conditioned rooms. So this would have been nice, but we didn’t expect it From such a little European boutique hotel.
