This is an atmospheric place, off the beaten track. The terrace at the back is a highlight and is quite popular with locals- it's right next to the beach and looks over the water, with lovely sunset views. The room on the top floor was very spacious and quiet, comfy bed and a good shower. The pool is really nice and a big luxury after walking from Ferrol on the Camino.

It's a bit dated, having been restored in the 1980s and was probably avante garde at the time, but now the marine ply is showing its age in places. I think it's for sale and perhaps is a bit much for the owner to keep going. Breakfast was quite nice but a little overpriced at 15 euros. The lack of a restaurant for evening meals is an issue given the location, but we had a decent kebab delivered by Uber eats!

What a lovely place. I enjoyed not only my room and the quiet but also that the bar was open in the evening and is frequented by locals. I look forward to the day they find a new chef as I'd love to enjoy a meal there! (Note if you're a pilgrim, there is a place to eat within walking distance but it's closed on Mondays, which was the day I was there. I knew this ahead of time and so stopped for a big lunch in an earlier town before I got to Pazo de Merced.) This is not far at all from the Camino, but do take a look so you know when to get off the Camino:) Juan will help you with directions to get back on it in the morning. Also enjoyed learning more about the history of the property from Juan in the morning--and thanks for opening the church for us to see that as well!

Wonderful quaint property located just off the Camino trail. If walking, Google maps takes you down a grassy road and you’ll think you’re going wrong but you’re not! Greeted by the owner who was very nice and friendly. The bar is an added bonus and we enjoyed our drinks on the waterfront. The weather was lovely so we made use of the outdoor pool. No restaurant onsite so owner recommended a lovely restaurant less than 1km away and we had delicious pizza there. We opted for breakfast onsite and it was lovely however I felt it was a little expensive at €15pp.

Felt breakfast was a little expensive

I was doing the Camino so it was great to get in the pool when I got there, it was a bit windy but I had the pool to myself. The person in charge, I think her name is Andrea, she was lovely, all questions answered, everything was made very clear with a nice smile. The room was amazing, a lovely view, comfortable bed, very clean. There was water available for us in the fridge at no extra charge. The dinner was very good, high quality products, the bread was amazing. The breakfast was wonderful. Friendly staff, I value and appreciate that a lot. I highly recommend it.

Nothing ti say here.

The hotel is based near the river and it felt like in the middle of nowhere, as it was a long pathway from the main street. Absolutely gorgeous hotel and location itself. It was facing the town on the other side, but since we arrived late in the evening the street lights looked so beautiful across the wide river. People were drinking some wine and enjoying the view. We took some tea and spent our evening in the library. Everything nicely detailed. Our room was so unexpectedly big, and had a king size bed, very comfortable, also facing the river too. We also had a launch and bathroom with the window to the nice view too. Staff was very friendly. Although charged us twice for the breakfast, but when I realised they refunded straight away. very recommended, maybe even for the better weather, because they also have a swimming pool outside. Very beautiful and relaxing place.

The launch room was a bit dark, but only in the evening, as in the day it had a lot of windows. Could be more variety for breakfast, but staff cooked for me some omelette on request.

It was fun to spend the night in a historical building who used to be a convent. The room was big and comfortable with a great view. The owner opened the chapel for us to visit which was nice. Also enjoyed having drinks in the courtyard. Very friendly staff.

There is no restaurant on premise and we were too tired to walk 1 km to the nearest town. Tried unsuccessfully to order delivery. It wasn’t a big issue for us but be warned.

Beautiful restored small hotel right on the camino Ingles. The view to the water was spectacular. Bed was super comfortable. Wonderful amenities. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We didn't have the full breakfast there but coffee was available.

It was cold in the common areas and the room. The space heater worked well, just not enough for the room size. I'd stay here again though.

Beautiful restored monastery or convent. Was able to view the chapel. Beautiful views. Very quiet sleeping!

The walk down from the main road (it was a rainy day) after a day on the Camino. I was too tired to walk back up to town to find food- no dinner options just breakfast. Paul served me wine and olives and I was able to order from Uber Eats so it all worked out.

Friendly staff and owner. We got there quite early on the Camino and they let us hang out in the beautiful and cozy library till our room was ready.

Just make sure you plan on where to eat before your arrival (or bring a picnic to eat outside if the weather is nice). They do sell drinks and you can pay for a nice breakfast buffet in the morning.

The setting is beautiful, right on the river. The room was big, lovely and had a brilliant view over the river (room 3). The staff were excellent.

A bottle of water in the fridge after a long day on the Camino would have been appreciated :-). There is no food available so you need to leave the hotel to find a restaurant or order in
