A beautiful building in a lovely situation overlooking the naval port. We asked for a room with a view and got it, a bonus was having a small balcony to sit on. The food was some of the best in the four paradors we stayed.

For a parador the room was small with little space for suitcases. The room was not as well cared for in other paradors. Although there is a parking area right outside it is public parking and popular, parking on nearby streets is also not easy.

Great staff, great location right near the start of the camino, great restaurant, the breakfast buffet had a large selection and was very good. I ordered the parador menu for dinner, with ceviche, salmorejo, braised beef cheek w potatoes, and a lava cake with fruit sorbet, all for just over 30€ all was fresh, tasted home made, and delicious. The beds were comfortable, the decor was beautiful, and it was very clean. the price was also reasonable. They were able to change $ to €, and accommodate us checking in 2 hours early. 10/10 would recommend.

Ferrol feels a bit down at heel, probably due to the reduction in the port. That said the Parador was very smart and comfortable. It still has the feel of a traditional up market place to stay. The room , bed and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. We booked the half board option with dinner bed and breakfast which was extremely good and excellent value. It was quiet at night and we slept well. As another reviewer mentioned the Parador does feel like a slightly dated dowager full of character. Book it up before it becomes gentrified and expensive.

The staff seemed a bit fed up and slightly over worked apart from the waiter during dinner who was really helpful. I think this is probably due to the financial situation in Ferrol. I am sure they will bounce back soon.

The parador was very comfortable and spacious with all the facilities we could wish for in our room. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding excellent. The location was perfect for the start of the Camino ingles and close to bars and restaurants.

I changed hotels to stay at the parador as it advertised that it had an airport shuttle. However, on requesting the shuttle I was told that they did not, and never had, this service. As it is stated twice in booking.com for the parador, I found this very misleading,

Beautiful old hotel with a very comfortable room for our overnight stay before we started the Camino Ingles. Short walk down to the Tourist Office. The gentleman on Reception was able to supply us with the labels for our luggage that we’d booked to be transported by Correos. The young lady on Reception in the morning was really friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here to start the Camino Ingles. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and has a luxurious air. It was so quiet and peaceful. We had a great nights sleep and we were very refreshed for the next day to start walking. We splashed out on breakfast which was beautifully presented with ample choices.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Another fabulous parador, gorgeous historic building, restrained elegance, FABULOUS location right next to town with wonderful park and view outside, tasteful traditional menu for in-hotel eating

Would have liked some refreshments in room - tea making a bonus (something I'd expect from a Parador) - there wasn't even complimentary bottled water

Location is great. Views of the harbor are great. It was quiet although I did hear some coughing from another room. The lobby and rooms really have a nautical theme. It was almost like traveling in another period. Parking was easy. Staff was great; very polite and very professional. I would return.

I got dinner and breakfast and, after having stayed at other Paradores in the 'before times' (pre-COVID), I was unimpressed. I felt like the microwave led the kitchen. I would not recommend the meal program.

A traditional Parador with a slightly dated and conservative feel that is somehow frozen in time. However, everything is very well done and professional. The restaurant was very quiet on a Sunday evening and I was one of 4 people. so pleased I ventured in though. The food was fabulous and I had a selection of starters that did not disappoint

The doors are very lightweight and consequently a bit noisy in the corridor

The building was beautiful and location stunning. Our view from the balcony was beautiful looking over the water. The breakfast buffet was top notch. I was happy they had a place to store our bicycles.

The dinner that we included in our stay was mediocre, not special. No kettle in the room to make tea or coffee.
