Location: Central location, walking distance to main attractions of the town: Museum of the Naval Construction (there is also Navy Museum in the next building) and Meninas de Canido (a group of more than 100 murals). Tourist information (actually two separate: municipal and provincional) at Plaza de Espana is in 10 minutes walking distance. Stairs/elevator: elevators available. Room: large and comfortable; electric sockets: available, but only one near the bed; lighting: good. Bed: large and comfortable. Bathroom: average in size, functional, enough space for toiletries, heated. Breakfast: excellent, large selection for every taste, including vegetables (very rare in Spain); I have got a chocolate especially prepared for me. WiFi: good. Staff: Nice and helpful. Parking: pricey, but essential as streets around were fully parked.

Our room was a good size and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. Although the hotel is on afarily busy road, the double/ triple glazing worked well. We could hear no rodd noise and slept well after our journey from England. prior to starting our Camino. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

No really a dislike - the hotel was further from the port/ our starting point for the Camono than we expected! We had to walk about 1 km in the 'wrong' direction before starting our Camino. Not really a problem!

Location was good and easy walk to shops and restaurants. Hotel was clean and comfortable and well presented. We used the bar and ate cheese / meat platters which were good.

One waiter in the bar was a bit grumpy (but another who spoke excellent English went out of his way to be helpful). The bed could have been a bit more comfortable but nothing too bad. We loved our room with plenty of space and everything we needed apart from an iron (and no service for ironing at the weekend)

I had a fantastic stay at Gran Hotel de Ferrol. The rooms were very well-appointed, comfortable, and clean. The attention to cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, offering a great variety of fresh options to start the day right. The staff was truly outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with a smile. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. You can adjust it if you want a more personalized touch!

Staff are friendly, professional and always try to help you as much as possible. Bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. Located walking distance from the city centre and most major attractions. The staff can also stamp your pilgrim passport if you are doing the Camino de Santiago

The access card for the room was a bit confusing, and at night I locked myself out of my room. Fortunately the person at reception gave me a new one.

Very accommodating staff, we arrived early and they swopped rooms so that we didn't have to wait. Parking available but we found a safe space at the side of the hotel. Large comfortable very quiet room on the top floor. Evening meal (1/2 board option) offered a very good starter but the main course was just too big to manage ! Make sure you are hungry before eating here. 30 minute walk to the harbour through the centre.

Arriving by Renfe train from Santiago, the bay spread out in front of us in the sunset and we walked the mile or so to the Hotel through the quiet city centre. The Staff spoke excellent English and our room overlooked the central square, which came alive in the morning ahead of a football tournament. The Hotel concierge suggested several good places to visit and we spent some hours in the Naval Construction Museum before buying tickets on the marvellous little "Feve" narrow gauge train later in the evening - towards Ribadeo. Thanks Gran-Hotel, for making the start of our holiday, so easy.

The cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Overall the hotel is very nice. The staff is also nice. I liked the food at the hotel’s restaurant for dinner. The salad was amazing.

In ordered ice cream for dessert at dinner. It was delicious. Only comment is that there could have been a bit more ice cream in the serving. The scoops were really tiny.

We absolutely loved our stay at this perfect hotel. We had a beautiful spacious room with a wonderful bathroom. The location was central, convenient for train and bus station and a walk to the old town and the start of the Camino Ingles. Breakfast was super. Would dearly love to stay again.

Location. Breakfast was an extensive buffet (and they advised us we could eat at 7:30am instead of 8:00am)so we could get an early start to the Camiño. Pretty friendly staff and nice pasta dinner.

Seemed hard to regulate the temperature in the room (~hot and muggy).
