The sea-view apartment, with two balconies and exotic garden with palms and other flowers and plants that makes the rooms smell like jasmine and frangipani. Excellent as the base for exploring east and south-east of Crete because of the vicinity of major attractions, beaches, mountain villages, monasteries, caves and mind-blowing archeological sites. It is located within one minute walk from the sandy beach. The host is hospitable, always available and helpful Jorgos who makes his own wine and makes you feel like part of the family. We stayed 14 days in the apartment and would gladly come again.

Local beaches have too many sunbeds, destroying the beauty of the nature. In August 2023, only one third of sunbeds were occupied, yet owners had no intention to reduce the number of empty sunbeds.

The owner, George, is very nice, helpful and flexible. The apartment is very pleasant, clean, sophisticated and perfectly equipped with everything. They cleaned and changed towels twice in 7 days. When I arrived, the host's own wine was prepared in the room, and when I left, I received home-made raki. ☺️ Shops, supermarkets, restaurants and the beach are a few minutes' walk away.

Everything was excellent, from accommodation to staff and location. The room was clean, spacious, well decorated, and equipped. Giorgos, the owner is very kind. WiFi was stable, and the connection was fast. The beach is a 1-minute walk from the apartment, and there are good restaurants and shops nearby. Also, it's near the pedestrian zone, so you can walk at night. 

The apartments are sparkling clean, big, and very close to the beach 2-3mins with a toddler. Giorgios is very helpful when you need information about the island and also very welcoming. Me and my family had an amazing time here. New sheets and towels were put every 2 days, and parking for rented cars was available at the property. The small kitchen is ok for simple dishes or just breakfast.

Location 2 minutes distance from the beach. Also practically in the center, shops, souvenirs, restaurants are there. Still quite hidden from the noise and traffic. And the best part: Giorgos, the perfect host!

The location is right in the centre, several meters from the beach. We had everything we needed, the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and Giorgos very nice and helpful. It was great price for the value, we can only recommend it thinking about comming back ourselves!

Very good apartment, excellent and quiet location, beach on 5 min by foot... Very clean, comfortable bed, cute little terrase in front of the apartment ... All recommendations... Owner Georgios is fantastic host, very helpful and positive man.... That more people like Georgios , the world be a much better place🤗 Best regards

room was cleaned almost every day bedsheets and the towels were changed often we had a small covered porch with a table and 2 chairs we were welcomed by the host with traditional wine, homemade dessert, flowers, and a bottle of cold water George's (the host) mother gave us some cucumbers from their garden and they also gave us from time to time some treats which made us feel more at home and we highly appreciate the restaurants were close, about 5 min walk and the beach was the same beach like all greek beaches was clean, there are a lot of sunbeds, but if you walk on the beach you can find also places to stay on the sand. there are showers. in some places, you pay 5-8 eur for 2 sunbeds, but you can also find sunbeds offered for free if you order the drinks from them and the prices are the same, maybe even lower I liked the fact that the restaurants had places for the kids to play and kids' menus lots of small shops to buy souvenirs in the room, we stayed the wi-fi was working very well, only on the porch it was so and so if we go to Crete again, we are going to choose to stay at Lia Sofia

George, our host was exceptional, carafe of wine in fridge and cake from his mother, also during our stay presents of food were left for us, true Cretan hospitality. A had a 1 bedroom apartment with large balcony ,good location to beach/bars and tavernas Regular changes of sheets and towels George allowed us to stay in our apartment until we were ready to leave to meet transfer pick up to airport which was not until 5pm We would have no hesitation in staying in the Lia Sophia apartments again.
