The overall hotel experience was positive, but the front desk customer service agents were hit or miss. Sometimes you'd get someone who is very helpful and seemingly goes out of their way. And the majority of the time, you get people who seem like the lights are on, but nobody is home. Giving very "it's just a job" vibes. Bar/restaurant menu extremely limited. Never did find out if they have room service. Tried to ask front desk staff but again, unclear response, so I went down to bar & ordered from there. Do they have a gym? Don't know. No one told me. Do they have pool? No idea. Do they have any amenities that are considered unique or special? I'll never know. Maybe you will. Perhaps they will improve their check-in process to include that info. Who knows?

See above.

The location was perfect for us! It is near many restaurants and shops and also within walking distance to the people we were visiting. Our room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space.

I wish the free breakfast had a few more hot options (like eggs and possibly a meat like bacon or sausage). What was offered was very good - bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt.

Every staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and the breakfast was wonderful. Very inexpensive parking rate was a plus.

The room had a strange odor probably left by previous guests. The bed was on a softer side and was not comfortable for my spouse and me, who love firm mattresses.

I like very much this mosaic district. If you are driving to Washington DC and do not want yo stay in the hotel in center of the city for various reasons, including high fees for overnight parking, this could be your best choice with a nice European like neighborhood. I highly recommend this hotel, new, clean, comfortable room.

Perfect location in the Mosaic shopping and dining district, truly lovely King suite (free upgrade!) with a giant luxurious tub by the windows, and a separate shower room as large as a whole bathroom! Random detail, but we appreciated the soft toilet light that didn’t blind us in the middle of the night.

EDIT - we received the promised dining credit belatedly after this review was posted. Thank you. However, my dinner dish was also missing the side of tater tots as advertised on the hotel bar website, and we were not refunded for this. Otherwise, everything was perfect!!

The complementary breakfast did the job for a quick "morning pick-me-up". I wish there were cornflakes/milk options for the kids. Also, room service "had to change the bedsheets" and their job was excellent. Of course, the location is good because there are plenty of dining options, a movie theater, and a few shopping stores within walking distance.

My reservation was for disability-access hotel guests, and they did not like the height of the beds and the height of the toilet seat. I had to take them to the lobby restroom every time they needed it because the seat was higher. This was the reason we had to check out early because it was very uncomfortable for them. I hope the height of the beds and toilet seats is increased, at least for the accessible rooms.

I loved the building itself, however, staff seemed less than welcoming upon arrival. The area was great to walk around and had of areas for guests to enjoy. Overall a very great stay and was very reasonably priced.

Staff was very informative but could have been nicer.

The property is located in a newer fun, vibrant, walkable town center (Mosiac District) with a variety of restaurants and shops just outside the front door. The lobby and restaurant areas have a pretty and modern, but warm and welcoming esthetic. We appreciated having a parking pass for the covered garage lot directly across from the entrance. There is a nice breakfast (included!) available on the first floor every morning with some simple yet varied options (the muffins, bagels, and juices were a hit with our kids and we appreciated the oatmeal, fresh fruits, and coffee). Our room was very spacious and incredibly clean! One thing I was most happy about (and wish more US hotels would do the same) was the two king bed room! Not the cramped queen beds for my 6’3” husband and myself, or a single king for us with the kids uncomfortably sleeping on a pull-our sofa bed. (After years of living abroad, we’d gotten used to European hotels offering multiple twin beds that can be separated or together and occasional single wall bunk beds, so the two king beds was just such a nice option!) The Archer Hotel is also located near several main arteries that will easily get you into DC or anywhere else in the DelMarVA region. Overall, our family enjoyed our first stay at this property and likely not our last! (My husband kept giving me kudos for finding such a nice hotel in a great area that was comfortable for our entire family and allowed us the ease and flexibility to head in and out of the area to visit our old hometown friends in Leesburg and see friends we’d met abroad who now live in DC.) I wanted to add that I’d had several communications with property staff about a month prior to our arrival regarding the possibility of bringing our sweet, 18-year-old pup (how great that Archer is also pet-friendly [for a fee]).

The one thing that was rough for me (who needs near complete darkness when sleeping) was the room curtain, for some reason, wouldn’t stay right up against the wall so there was a crack of light that came into our room early each morning. I did mention it on my way out (perhaps adding a strip of Velcro so the sides of curtains stick/stay in place or maybe another solution might work), but other than that, we were all very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Everything was superb in regards to the hotel

The parking. We had to argue with event parking attendants for over 30 mins and poor Lloyd had to come out in the heat to clear up with the event folks that we were allowed to park in upper levels for the hotel being we paid $10. It was very disorganized.

Location, location, location. The hotel is in the center of the Mosaic District which is lovely. Lots of wonderful restaurants and nice shops. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Also, it was easy to get an Uber to a museum in Washington DC. Hotel breakfast is great and hotel and room was clean.

Nothing to not like.
