The room was small, but well appointed and clean. Decent lighting and well maintained. I liked the big, heavy duty four hook coat hanger which accommodated my riding jacket, pants, heated liner and regular jacket.

I arrived at 5:15pm and there was no one in the office. A sign on the lobby door directed me to the co-owned pub next door. The guy there was confused but was able to help me. When I left the next morning at 8:10am, there was still nobody in the office and the pub was locked up. I tried calling the hotel phone number which went to a voice mailbox for a women - not the hotel. I left a confused message about trying to check out. I searched for and found a key drop for my key and finally left after never seeing any hotel staff. I don't mind the way it worked out, but the confusion and mystery could have been solved with better communication or printed instructions - "please check out by dropping key in key drop" on the lobby door or something.

This place is EXCELLENT for the $$$. Most inexpensive places only give you 2 or 3 pillows. Here you got 4 pillows (just like 4 or 5 star hotels) AND they were SO comfortable. Unheard of for inexpensive stays. Also very clean and we enjoyed the courtyard to hang out in.

It was slightly warm in the room but 2 fans were provided and that was sufficient to cool the small space. Signage could have been better, we arrived on the bar side of the in. And there was no sign to point us in the correct direction of the Inn side where you check in. Because of this check in was a bit confusing for us.

What a charming little rustic hotel. Rustic was the decor they are going for. Very comfortable and clean. We had 2 fans in our room, coffee maker, tv, fridge. They provided earplugs for noise. Super nice fluffy blankets. The courtyard was quite lovely also. Beds were the best we had on our trip.

Being from the south, we are not used to seeing hotel rooms that don't have air conditioning. We had to sleep with the windows open, which, seeing as the front building is a bar, we had concerns. But they provide earplugs, so we heard nothing all night, and the cool night air was actually very nice for sleeping.

The interior furnishing and decor were excellent, with great attention to detail. The room was clean. There was proper liquid soap, shower gel, shampoo, and even conditioner. The pillows were soft and fluffy. The town of Raymond was quite peaceful. I was headed south from Olympic National Park and stayed here for the night. For this price, this place is definitely one of the best.

If I were to need to find something I didn't like - the main door to the front desk was locked and there were no signs about how to check in, so I had to ask the bartender in the attached alehouse, who pointed to another door that led behind the bar and into the front desk. I found another guy behind the bar that helped me check in. But it was really not a major problem because it got sorted out pretty quickly.

Nice quiet small facility with big rooms! Attached pub has great food and service. We failed to make our first night stay but Stacy was very accommodating and tried to initiate a refund for us. The room is spacious, the bed very comfortable and everything was top notch and clean. We stayed in Raymond to visit the Carriage Museum and it did not disappoint! This is a must see - fascinating history and displays. Would definitely return when passing through Raymond

Nothing everything was great

The rooms have all been updated and the owner has a great eye for the remodeling he did. The bed was very comfortable. They have half wine barrels that they use to plant flowers and vegetables and it was a great view of the plants from our room. There are adirondack chairs outside of each room.

It would have been nice if the fridge in the room was a bit bigger. And the toilet tank was very slow to refill, so you can't have back to back use of it.

I had a great stay at Pitchwood Inn! The property has a cozy, rustic charm with clean and comfortable rooms that felt well-maintained. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. I especially appreciated the friendly staff and the convenience of having a great bar and restaurant right on-site—fantastic food and drinks added to the experience.

If I had to nitpick, parking was a little limited, but it wasn’t a major issue.

The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Thick white bath towels. Great steak dinner on Friday night at the Pitchwood Alehouse.

The only knock is the bathroom, and especially the shower, are small. The Pitchwood is an older, but well-kept and nicely furnished motel. The bathroom size was probably standard for that era. Some people, especially with mobility issues, might have difficulty with that.

Bunk beds are perfect for family with kids. My kids were thrilled to have their own individual beds. Especially, the upper level. Kitchen in the room is convenient. Easy to bring some ingredients and make for breakfast. For some reason, the duvets were really comfortable. One bonus to have good sleep at night.

Mattresses are on the softer side. Like it or not depending on the individual. The shower isn’t great. Super small for one person. If you have limited mobility, this is an issue. I hardly able to turn around in the shower stall.

It was a very cute property. Outside they had some garden beds and a fire pit and a small fenced area. Each room had its own outside entrance and they were painted different colors but all connected together. Part of the property included a bar that served amazing food and fabulous drinks. It was on the outskirts of town and during the week I’m sure most of the shops would’ve been open we went on a weekend. Our room had a full kitchen, apartment, size refrigerator, four burner stove with an oven microwave sink pots pans, dishes. Reminiscent of a studio apartment.

We had a situation with the shower pan in the shower that we have communicated to the facility. The bathroom was slightly small.
