The accommodation is Cody and wide. The breakfast delicieus , the customer services is good and the swimming pool and spa super ! Also the posibility to bring your dog and the preparaties for the dog where nice :-)

The rooms cleaning didn’t show up, so that can be better. Alsobthe food at diner is limited and doesn’t meet the expectation I had, so that could improve!

the place was clean and quite. rooms are sufficient for a short weekend stay. not far from ski lifts and has its own parking space. the staff are friendly.

on the a la carte evening options, the portion of the dinner is really small for one person (protein and veggie amount can be increased). breakfast could have more of varieties (like salad options).

great location for travelers on the E1, nice birding, best breakfast (lots of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice), friendly staff

my room was in the wellness area - the chlorine smell made me feel nauseous, but only in the hallway, furnishings are very basic for the price, water leaked in under the balcony door

Location is great for hikers - on the top of a hill with lots of nice views for photos. Great saunas and swimming pool

Very friendly, helpful staff. Only thing is, there was no kettle and coffee machine at the room.

Room junior suite was excellent , service during dinner and breakfast as well

cushions were too thin, I think but view at Rothaargebirgte was breathtaking.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning surroundings, which made our stay very pleasant. The room was spacious, and the staff was mostly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, and the overall atmosphere was nice.

However, there were some aspects that could be improved. The room, while large, could use some renovation. Some staff members did not speak English at all, which made communication challenging. The breakfast selection was quite limited for a 4-star hotel. Additionally, the pool was a bit cold and not as clean as expected.

The hotel mainly caters to German-speaking guests, which might work well for some, but it posed challenges for me as a non-German speaker. Despite knowing I didn’t understand German, the staff continued to communicate in German, which made interactions somewhat difficult.The rooms themselves were a bit disappointing. The hotel feels outdated, and the lack of air conditioning made our stay uncomfortable during the warm summer nights. Additionally, the pillows were extremely thin and soft, requiring multiple folds just to achieve minimal comfort. The person overseeing the restaurant, who seemed to be the manager, wasn’t the most approachable. Asking simple questions often felt awkward due to his curt and somewhat rude responses, which took away from what should have been a relaxing dining experience. Finally, the room we were assigned didn’t match the advertised description. We were expecting a mountain view, but instead, we were given a room with no view and little privacy, as our windows faced directly onto an elevated walkway.While the hotel does have its strong points, these issues, particularly for non-German speakers and those sensitive to comfort, made our stay less pleasant than anticipated. It might be worth considering other options, especially during the summer.
