We liked how warm, friendly, and personable the guy was that greeted us when we checked in around 10 pm Christmas night. My wife loved the setup of the room. She likes how when you open the room door, you don't automatically see the bed first. It's spacious and private. We Both liked how clean it was. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the sheets smelled wonderful. We liked the Christmas decor. We liked the nativity scene.

The sink drained very slowly. Yes, it is very modern and pretty, but we both would've rather had a basic sink that drained properly than a fancy ine

Great price - our son was at OU for orientation. The location is great, walkable to campus and uptown. It's very modern and the room was a great size. Love the closet and chest of drawers, as well as the table and chairs. The complimentary waters and sodas were a nice surprise. It was very clean and well decorated.

No complaints. The only reason we don't stay there more often is that the price fluctuates so wildly (like every other place in Athens). We will only stay here when the price is reasonable (under $150).

The building has a very unique structure, and rooms have odd nooks, but the space works and provides all the comforts. Comfortable bed with soft sheets. The shower was amazing, and loved the lighted mirror in bathroom.

We learned later that the windows were treated so the outside could not look in (at least that's what we were heard in the breakfast room). So needless to say we were somewhat concerned that you could see into our room (with full floor to ceiling windows). Also the streetlight shines directly into the pillow of the bed through a crack between the window shade and frame.

Amazing staff and they were amazing with our pups and this is our first trip out with our pups so this was really important to us. Thank you for all the hospitality and the wonderful amenities.

I didn’t really find anything default. This was very conveniently located easy walking distance to pubs bars and grills and it was also an easy walk down to the fire department house where there’s a park next to the river and then walkways all the way down to the bridges very cool place.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Staff member at breakfast on weekdays was extremely attentive and accommodating. No one there on weekends to attend to breakfast. Food ran out early and no one there to ask to replace it. Stark contrast weekday from weekend for breakfast. Front desk staff consistently available. Might just be reflection of the times with limited staff. Rooms surprisingly clean and updated. Would definitely stay again!!

The staff is exceptional. Ben, Angie, Jess, and Dominic at the front desk were incredibly accommodating. The housekeeping staff went above and beyond. I was there for a week and felt as if I made actual friends. Also, I need to mention the pillows. I've been searching for good pillows for years, and finally found what I need in this hotel. (Hint: quilted organic cotton covers with shredded memory foam within.) All of the bedding is so so comfy. Oh, and the shower! Glorious.

Not a thing. Everything was wonderful. I hope to return soon.

Ben greeted me and I felt comfortable right away. I came back to ask a question and again, he answered with good conversation. The room was clean, and had a very comfortable lounger with a foot rest. The fridge contained complimentary waters and sodas. In the morning, Matthew told me about the Lunatic Asylum, which I did go to and am so glad he told me about it.

If I can make a suggestion, the eggs and meat were cool, not really warm so, a different vessel such as a couple of buffet half pans with fuel cans, that would keep the food hot.

My wife and I were in town for our two boy's high school basketball shoot-out. We help the team out when we can, like getting bottled water or snacks. My wife always tries to wash their uniforms after these all-day events. The hotel staff saw the laundry bag and asked if we needed wanted them to wash and dry the uniforms. Couldn't have been more helpful. They did that two days in a row. That's above-and-beyond service that needs recognized. Thank you staff at Athens Central Hotel!

Every little thing was thought about when planning for guests. The towels in the bathroom were fluffy, the absorbent mat didn't slip, the lighting was bright, the clean wood veneer flooring, the firm excellent pillows, the huge flat screen tv, ...I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was fantastic and soo kind. The location is 1 block away from the shops and restaurants and only a few blocks from campus.

So clean, comfy, close to everything, and the best staff!! Breakfast is my favorite thing there, as the eggs, potatoes, pancakes, etc are cooked right there by a great guy who cares, and not pre-packaged regular “hotel fare”. That is HUGE for people like myself avoiding processed foods! I’ve stayed here many times and will be back again. Photos were views from our room (cloudy day).
