The facilities were good. Some updating had gone on since my last visit. The pool was up and running, the room had all the comforts needed, microwave, frig, coffee maker, desk, easy chair and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and redone to a degree. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and helpful! The breakfast was good. Although I have some critiques below, all and all, the stay for the price was phenomenal!

I believe the property is under new management. It seems like the front desk has had no experience in hotel management. There was no friendly greeting upon arrival, or whenever I would pass by in the morning to go to breakfast. I would say "good morning" and receive an almost obligatory "good morning" back. The lack of friendliness was a bit of a turn off. The breakfast area could have used a little more TLC. On my previous visits, the staff was constantly about the place making sure that everything was stocked and neat and clean. I would recommend that the worn easy chair in the room be replaced.

Staff were very nice. The rooms were basic - everything worked. Check in was fast. Hotel was in a nice area. The pool looked nice but we were only there from 11pm until 9am, so we did not use it.

The hotel was slightly older and could use a facelift. It was not worn out or out of repair, just rather dull and outdated. There were not charger cord plug-ins. Although the breakfast was hot and the fairly well stocked by staff, it was pre-packaged foods re-heated in a microwave, so really just okay. Only 2 hot selections - sausage patties and some type of reheated sunny-side up egg. Coffee was fair - not a lot of variety. No elevator - we were on the 2nd floor and it was hard carrying our items up the stairs.

It is my second stay in this motel. The location is perfect, easy access to city center and the interstate. This time we brought our daughter and a friend to Athens to participate in the New Years Eve Train & Fireworks at Hocking Valley Scenic Railway in Nelsonville. The beds were very comfortable, they liked breakfast very much and I took advantage of the hot jaccuzzi. The staff is superfriendly and always ready to help. Would definetely stay at this place anytime I come to Athens.

I think they could provide more options for a healthy breakfast, like oatmeal and non dairy milk.

It's close to the highway and to restaurants. It's in a fairly quiet area. Room was clean.

We have stayed here several times in the past few years and have been pleased. This time was noticeably different. The room smelled stuffy and air conditioner wasn't very quiet. No one was restocking the breakfast items as they ran out. I had to ask the desk clerk for milk, forks and sausages, I was told that the motel is under new management and it was obvious that there were fewer workers.

Breakfast was included, available 6:30am to 9:30am, could have extended availability to 10:30am. Limited menu options. Extra pillow was nice. Great location. Big room, handicap accessible for some reason.

Some guest above my room was having a dance party Sunday morning. Shower tub was elevated for accessibility, so I had to hunch down to bathe. Way overpriced, as is everything down there.

.......nice room...comfortable...bath has a walk-in shower (same width & length as a tub, but no tub...bonus: separate controls for water pressure and temp, a nice feature...shower head in on flexible hose, a bit short but swivels up...good water pressure & heat...small highlight, hair dryer, iron and board.......comfortable bed, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tv, alarm clock.......plenty of well-lit parking.......

...room in back of facility, not far from highway ramp...barely noticeable, and did not wake me up...rooms in front or on side of facility were probably completely quiet...

Room was good. Coffee was hot. Location is great. Price very fair for area. Usually our go-to spot when visiting kid at OU. Kind of a no-brainer.

This is not an issue for me and my family but there is no elevator. This could be difficult for some.

Free breakfast...no fruit, sausage tasted "leftover" and barely warm, powdered eggs were cold every day and I was always very early. 4 guys in a dark gray Chevy pickup hanging around the back door all hours of the day and night the whole time I was staying at the hotel. Lots of litter in the parking lot and by the picnic tables... much of it left by the four guys mentioned above.

The hot breakfast was great. The room was clean and the beds were comfy.

I didn’t really like the location of the pool. I understand the need to be able to monitor the pool, but I didn’t really like having to traipse past the front desk in swimsuits. I couldn’t find anywhere in the room that said when checkout was. I looked on my Priceline receipt and it said checkout was 12:00. Luckily, I asked a housekeeper that was walking down the hall, so we got out by 11:00.
