We had a Deluxe Queen Room on the 4th floor. The room is spacious, and opens onto a balcony with a fantastic view of the river. The room, including the bathroom clean and well appointed. We like to walk rather than be driven. The location was convenient with fairly easy access to the road leading to the Ubudiah Mosque and Perak Royal Museum. Apart from a couple of dodgy road crossings there is a safe footpath all the way out to the museum. A word of advice: the area is prone to afternoon rain, so take an umbrella! The breakfast was excellent. All in all, good value for the price.

I'm afraid I am a bit sensitive to noise and found it difficult to sleep because of the noise of an air vent blowing air in the entrance foyer to the room. This would probably not be a problem for most people.

Upon checking-in the DM welcome with smiles and greets. Asking if there is a reservation make? and many more and he is simply Good. in the evening the FO staff shared his knowledge about Casuarina group hotels and also recommend the other property with each individuals property offered. He knows every single details and very informative. Well Done.

The amenities in toilet was less and practically like budget. The breakfast served was so basic and nasi lemak finished and no one replenished and monitor the service. the ladder was drop in the sambal and non staff check and i have to call the chef to change it. this is food safety and hygiene plus cleanliness. there is no person in-charge on duty and just the F&B staff busy talking at the counter. they should be busy checking the food, clear the plates or check the buffet. Coffee was so bitter and juices is empty.

The view from our room is majestic. Watching the river flow peacefully under Sultan Abdul Jalil bridge, the view of the village on the other side of the river. The swimming pool facility is superb. The breakfast foods are on par with other prestige hotel. For history enthusiast, you need to stay here at least 2 night and explore all the available attractions and taste the authentic laksa kuale.

There is a cemetery next to the hotel. Quite scary but can be tolerated with all the pros. The hotel management needs to upgrade the room facilities since the room is quite big. Add a decent sofa inside the room and add a coffee table and chairs at the balcony so that people can enjoy the serene view of Kuala Kangsar while sipping a cup of coffee or tea.

1. No security guard especially for car park 2. Faded paint. Hotel need to do some maintenance 3. Maybe need to add coffee table at the balcony 4. Limited choices for tv channel. If they have cartoon and movie channel it would be better.

Service was excellent by front desk, Mr. Hisham. Also fantastic service by the F&B staff and housekeeping. The rooms are spacious, worth the price paid. Rooms included a big verandah. Rain shower and water pressure was good, so was the aircond and toiletries provided. The premises were kept very clean, the corridors were well lit. I had an enjoyable stay.

The swimming pool and gym (?) Not sure if they have one, both were not in operation during my stay. Would be great to have those facilities put back into operation. Laundry services were also unclear. They do provide laundry bags, but I'm not sure if they have laundry services. Not a deal breaker for me, as I can always find things to do around Kuala, but maybe consider adding more channels to the tv selection. They are quite limited at the moment.

Huge room with balcony, mini fridge and sofa. Great location near town center with easy driving access. Big bathroom with strong rain shower. Iron and board provided.

Parking is quite far from main entrance with no covered walkway. Bathroom door handle didn't work from inside. Breakfast buffet not bad but not particularly delicious either.

Location. Room is spacious. Staff are friendly.

Room amenities. No dustbin in the toilet. No floor mat as well. Wi-fi is poor and to make it worse, the telco coverage (certain) is also poor. Weak soundproof - since the room is near the main road (corner), we can hear especially motorbike and lorry engine sound so clearly.

I like the layout of the hotel and the minimalist concept. I can move about with ease and it is really comforting to see the nice view of Perak River from my room. Plus point for the ample space for parking.

I don't like the fact that they don't provide a dustbin in the bathroom.

Location close to major sights. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean. Cleaned room daily. Complementary tea & coffee in room. Staff helpful and friendly.

Mosque on the other side of the river broadcasting over loudspeakers at approx. 6.30 am. Woke us up both mornings. Super infinity pool looked very inviting, but still not open due to covid Restrictions issued.

Lembah area , the stall gone. that was the main reason we come to Kuala Kangsar, but we cannot find our fav delicacies there anymore.
