Still using the old plugs that need an adapter

The front desk staff are super efficient and welcoming. The Hotel location provides picture perfect views of the Estuary and Ocean. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff are pleasant, attentive and helpful, without hovering over you. We had a truly lovely stay at The Estuary Hotel and Spa and would certainly go back for another visit, especially since we did not try out the lovely spa treatments this time round.

I would only ask that they trim the tree branches at the entrance to the Hotel off the main road, they are currently obscuring the hotel signage an its easy to miss the turn off to the Hotel.

Old Constantia style architecture, Beautiful, well-maintained territory with amazing view. very peaceful and quiet surrounding. It is 3-star hotel, so expect 3-star experience at its best

Internet, WIFI is almost not existing. Telephone reception not everywhere. The restaurant: old days tiny ,in diameter,plates ( for starters and for the main course), black table cloth, black nupkins and black staff uniforms in the rainy days make you beleive that you are at the funiral parlor... The menu items ,as well as the kitchen execution of it, is probably well recieved by the targeted audience. It was not our cup of tea though. But every staff member is friendly and very helpfull

It's a charming old hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are very competent, friendly and welcoming. The buffet style dining was what one would expect of a country hotel, given the challenges with getting provisions in a remote location - a good selection of options, not adventurous but tasty. We would be happy to return.

The hotel is a bit 'tired' and old fashioned, but that is common on the Wild Coast. However, the linen and beds were comfortable and everything worked. The wifi was weak in the rooms, but ok in the public areas.

The rooms are beautiful and have incredible views. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel provides you water due to the tap water being unsafe to drink. The rooms have aircons and keycards for unlocking the main door, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The walls are thick, therefore it is constantly peaceful in your room as you cannot hear any other guest. We will definitely stay there again!

There were not enough waiters in the restaurant. You have to wait and then finally be able to call a waiter. You have to request for a waiter to attend to you at the pool area, instead of just going to the pool area and seeing a waiter standing there already. Other than that, I have nothing else negative to say.

The food and the whole service was amazing. The staff was very welcoming, thanks to Samke and her team. The area where a hotel is situated and it's nature is giving life.

Bathroom towels are too old, need to be changed. Limited range of food to choose from. Rooms were not on the same standard eg. the other room has wifi and the other one has none.

The place outside has a lot of green mould, looks dirty needs painting, and we booked 3 rooms there were cockroaches in two of those rooms. Our first night was terrible our sliding door was not closing properly, we were beaten by mosquitoes all night. Bed too small to share. Had to be moved to a different room the following morning.

We were pleasantly surprised at the value for money we got while staying at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the air conditioning worked extremely well. The food was simple but good. The best thing about the hotel is the location, it is superb, with an easy walk to a good swimming beach. On windy days there is a swimming pool, and water activities on the estuary.

The power plugs in our room, didn’t work over night, and the lunch time restaurant service was slow.

Location

Breakfast should improve One of our booked rooms was not ready at 14h00, we could only go in around 15h00. Checkout is communicated as 11h00 but when we came from breakfast the rooms were automatically locked at 10h00 and we had to ask reception to allow us in so as to take our belongings that were already packed.

Second room was spacious and spotless clean, with beautiful view, all the staff was excellent , be the receptionist, the spa, the restaurant, I mean all💝

I didn’t like the first room that was allocated facing the lake, shower was small and not clean, I think it was the Lagoon, the building itself looks old.. I preferred very much the second room was too clean with lovely furniture and the view was too nice
