Room was exceptionally clean and cozy. Very large bathroom, equally as clean. Bed was the comfiest I think I've ever slept in while traveling. Location is wonderful - beautiful, homey-feeling back yard - landscaped amazingly. I can't say enough good things about this place, or our stay. I loved the secure entry, hosts/employees all engaged with people. Always smiling and super friendly!

Couch was a little low in the room - but that's nothing to whine about. It was a cool couch!

We didn't have breakfast there so can't comment on the food. The location was great....well lit at night making it easy to find in the dark and conveniently located on the highway but without traffic noise as our room faced the back garden which was lovely, and there were plenty of comfy sitting areas to relax in. It was a quick jaunt down the highway to reach the Goderich courtyard and beaches, etc. Staff were friendly, it was very quiet and clean. We appreciated there wasn't a strong chlorine smell in the pool area, as the pool is salt water so less chlorine than usual.

My only concern pulling into the place, was seeing a basketball court next to the hotel as our preference is peace and quiet. I was surprised to see that and thankful that nobody was using it during our stay. This would likely prevent me from booking here anytime kids were out of school.

It was very clean and spacious. The pool and hot tub were great after a long day of hiking. The robes and slippers were a luxurious touch. The owners were very accommodating.

The rooms facing the road were a little noisy and the windows could use blackout drapes to block the light of the hotel sign - we were promptly moved to a room facing the back the next morning which was really quiet and dark. It would be great if there were more hooks in the pool area to hang robes and towels - same for the room as well.

Family owned hotel , staff are nice,accommodating and making sure we enjoyed our stay. Different experience than a chain hotel . Close drive to the beach both to Goderich and to Bayfield. The room and hotel were clean , no carpet which is great if you allergic to dust like me . The fridge has a freezer - great to bring ice packs to the beach to cool your food and beverages. At the first day we received 2 complimentary pops and 2 bottles of water which was thoughtful. Pool is great, less harmful than chlorine , has salt .

I enjoyed the outdoor amenities (lounging on the hammock, playing tennis); the comfort of the room which included a comfy robe and slippers, and also a fireplace for added ambience. The staff were also very friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay.

I enjoy a full breakfast in the morning, but the hotel only offers a select choice of items (continental).

Really liked my room was spacious, beds were very comfortable and hotel had a lot to offer and grounds were beautiful and welcoming.

I found 2 baby ants in my bathroom killed them and didn't see anymore, and I would have liked to have had more of a selection for breakfast most places we have stayed have had sausage, scrambled eggs waffle machine and the juice machine was broken .

I have stayed in this hotel several times and this is my and my wife's favorite place to spend a night on hiking trips in the Provincial Parks on the lake (during the months when it is too cold for camping). We like the pool and the sauna. The breakfast is light but it is nice to have it included, to have something to eat before leaving the hotel.

Strangely, the fridge in our room was too loud when the compressor worked periodically. I don't remember this to be a problem during the previous stays at this hotel.

We really enjoyed having the indoor pool and hot tub. The bathrobe and slippers are a nice touch. Huge and comfortable bed. Very quiet. We also noticed that when we walked in the room, it smelled nice, unlike many hotels.

The fridge is very noisy. Though I enjoyed a bagel for breakfast, the selection of cereals could be better. There were only flaky, sugary types that I would not eat.

Breakfast location was very nice and choices were good.

A bit noisy on 1st floor by the door so we should have asked for a 2nd floor room. Also when taking a bath it was a bit awkward having to reach up for the body wash...some bar soap would have been great.

One of the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever sleep in, very friendly staff to make sure the facilities are working during the swimming pool area.

Would like a room with the garden view instead of parking view as the curtain cannot fully cover the bright light off outside at night time. For those who sensitive to the light during sleep may find it difficult to fall asleep
