The location of the hotel is quiet but very handy to the Narbonne old city centre and near the beautiful canal. Plenty of eating options around. The breakfast was well presented and tasty. Our bed was comfortable. When we asked for assistance from staff they were always helpful and understanding. We hope to return one day.

Our room was rather small. I should have booked a superior room as we are travelling for a long time and have large cases. Apart from that everything was fine.

We first chose this hotel because of its central location between the train station and the fabulous Narbonne market. We can easily roll our bags to and from the train station and walk to the market and the many restaurants around the market.

There is one area on the first floor that is up two short flights of stairs making it more difficult to access with heavy bags. Otherwise, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff always welcoming.

It is a beautiful building and great Decor, that made it a real pleasure to stay here. Breakfast was great, providing ample choice for all kinds of needs and in a beautiful dining area. My room was clean, airy, well presented and simple but fresh clean linen added to a very comfortable sleep. Air conditioning was really welcome as it was warm at times. The staff were first class and went out of their way to help from the little touches like ambient music at night in the lounge, to printing bus timetables when needed. The night staff were also really pleasant and appeared amenable to all kinds of request from all manner of travellers I can truly say the staff at la residence are some of the friendliest and most pleasant I have ever encountered and nothing seemed to difficult to address

For me, this was not the hotel that was an issue but as a lone traveller I noted the area at times around the hotel, was one where it was wise to be watchful. Whilst this is always the case when travelling I would say I felt it here more than in other locations. I think this specific to the part of Narbonne.

Staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We arrived wet & muddy after our bike ride but they were very welcoming.g Great secure bike storage in the garage with CCTV cover. Nice lounge and breakfast area.Very good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Lovely and quiet.

The standard room was a litter small and no tea/ coffee making facilities

The hotel has old world charm with modernised rooms. It's in a great location; in a quiet street, a 10 minute walk from the train station and within easy walking distance of town proper and sites of interest. The staff were exceptional with their service and professionalism. The room was very comfortable and quiet.

We arrived with wheelchair and were upgraded to a room on 1st floor with wet room shower and lift right opposite our door. Everyone was very kind. Breakfast was delicious - self service - but everything really fresh - freshly squeezed orange juice, soaked fruits and fresh yoghurts.. - croissants, boiled eggs ......

Beautifully decorated, very homely and comfortable, and the staff was really welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect too, tucked away in a quiet street and yet just a few minutes'walk from the main square and round the corner from the canal with all its bars and restaurants. Breakfast was fabulous.

There is nothing I didn't like.

Fabulous Hotel in a great location , lovely breakfast. It is an easy walk from the train station and walking distance from the historic centre , canal with plenty of choice of restaurants.

Nothing negative to say about this hotel .

No ordinary British teabags. Posh tea does not hit the spot. Please PG Tips or Tetleys Should be free drinking water in room. Big step up to bathroom and noisy floor outside it. Smelling croissants cooking at 6.15. Woke me up.
