The staff at the reception were so welcoming and adviced us on the activities and they made bookings for the activities which we liked. They called the taxi for us whenever we needed to go out. I totally love the reception staff their smiles and willingness to go the extra mile for their guests can't go unnoticed and deserves the recognition. The location of the hotel is breathtaking and brings peace of mind. I mean the lagoon and waterfront are just a stone throw away. All rooms are facing the lagoon which is a bonus. The breakfast was also good and delicious

The house keeping is not done properly and effectively. They really need to improve because our room was not cleaned properly for most of the days. We even complained and that's when they started cleaning it well. Their dinner buffet was not that delicious, we only ate there for one night.

Welma contacted me from before my arrival to ask how she could help with booking activities, airport transfers, suggestions on restaurants to eat at and provide assistance. Welma is an absolute gem - friendly, kind and her initiative to make my stay memorable for my birthday by suggesting a desert photoshoot , was priceless! Her colleagues at the main desk were also welcoming and friendly. The location was great, I look forward to staying there again!

I cannot complain about anything.

Overall, my stay at Protea Hotel by Marriott Walvis Bay Pelican Bay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and communicated well, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was also convenient, with restaurants nearby.

One area for improvement would be the breakfast buffet—while adequate, some dishes, particularly the mushrooms, could have been better prepared.

Beautiful location on the lagoon. Handy too for boat trips. Comfy bed; very friendly staff; good wi-fi; nice food at breakfast and evening meal. Taxi service from airport (Bongani Shuttle) was excellent.

There was no running water at all in the room on the first evening. Didn't find out until I undressed and got in the shower after being out for a run. A notice in the lobby about this would have helped.

The Hotel is right at the Lagoon and the view is superb. In front of the Hotel the walkway is open for the public, meaning, joggers and people who likes to walk, drive bicycles...etc. pass by - also very early in the morning. You will wake up because of them. In overall the room was very clean, shower is perfect, toilet as well and mattresses very good. Enough plugs are there to connect your phone, etc. Pillows should be replaced...very worn. We took our own pillows. In overall the staff is very helpful and very friendly. Always willing to help carrying your suitcases up the stairs. It was very nice to sleep with an open door at night to enjoy the air from the sea. Friendly ness of staff 10/10. It is quite at night, until 22h00 you will hear the people from the "Raft" Restaurant. But this did not bother us.

I can't say what I did not like - Management should urgently arrange some people for maintaining the Hotel. Lamps are falling down... also some doors doesn't close very well. Toilet paper, Water, Coffee, Milk, Sugar were not replaced when we were there for 3 nights. We did collect those at the Reception. But as I said...even if we had to collect these at the Reception, the people were always friendly. We even collected a bulb at the Reception and the lady installed it in my room. Hand towel paper were not replaced in the bathroom at the Reception, although I have told them 3 times to do so. But all this did not give us an awful stay. For the money we have paid for 3 nights, 3 people...and a 3 star Hotel.....this small "complaints" should be attended to.

This is a delightful hotel with bedrooms overlooking the Lagoon and ground floor rooms with access to outside deck with views of the Lagoon. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of shelves & hooks to place your own toiletries. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated a short distance from the waterfront with busy bars and restaurants.

The area was nice, very close to the Beach. Excellent Restaurants nearby, Hotel personal was very helpful. Internet is free and good spped.

Hotel is quite far from Centre of city and shopping areas. TV in the room shows only two channels. These where only advertises.

Great location, friendly restaurant staff, the receptionist were helpful could be better. Excellent housekeeping - I left R300 tip, please make sure they receive their tip. Again restaurant staff were 5 star

Reception should keep same attitude even if you don’t use their people for sight seeing.

Protea Pelican Hotel was such a wonderful place Went for my birthday and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly I can name a lot of them but Welma Heleni Elizabeth Marianna Mathew deserve just the best compliments I cant wait to return as the position is fantastic with all the flamingos right in front of us This hotel is outstanding

Front desk managers very helpfull. Nice sea views from all rooms. Good breakfast buffet.

Restaurant manager not willing to smile or to answer if you said good morning… Wondering if she is underpaid compared to her nice colleagues.
