This place is EXTREMELY isolated! If you are looking for an experience like no other this is YOUR place. Four wheel drive is REQUIRED to get through the deep sand en route to the lodge. The staff was exceptionally welcoming! The food was unsurpassed anywhere in Namibia and the sole fish was the absolute best in Namibia….moist and flavorfu! We were there in Winter and it was chilly but bearable. Walking near the seal colonies was an unforgettable experience. Listening to the seals the entire night with the balcony door open was unforgettable. This is THE place to get away “from it all” and just relax. I could have sat in a beach chair and watched the surf, seals, seagulls and jackals for an hour. The owner’s dogs will adopt you too! I have been to 63 countries and never experienced a hotel like this until this visit.

I respectfully recommend more information for the rendezvous point in Walvis Bay. I am exceptionally good with various coordinate systems (Latitude/Longitude; Decimal Degrees; Decimal Minutes; UTM; Military Grid Reference System; etc.) but few people are. I would recommend offering at least those systems coordinates AND a photo of the sand parking lot. Due to a mix up, no rendezvous took place and we drove out on our own…and were met about 75% of the way where we were assisted in driving through the deep sand.

An amazingly unique quality property set at the end of a peninsula. Fantastic food, friendly staff and a great NEW owner in Hilo, who has turned around a floundering hotel (if you believe the old reviews ) A drive across sand for 10km only heightens the expectations , and we were not disappointed. Driving through colonies of sea lions was an experience and then kayaking with them the next day, with Marcus as our guide, was truly magical. We will be back again!!!

Such a unique location. An unbelievable experience. The hotel was more like a luxury lodge. Off the beaten track with 360 degrees views of the magnificent ocean. Elegant and beautifully decorated. Something very iconic and unique. We’ve travelled extensively and this is once of the most unique experiences we have had.

The most authentic and beautiful place to stay. Top experience the Walvis Bay coastline from the lodge was an experience of a lifetime. What a location. Rigged, remote and personalised.

Everything wa sperfect.

We stayed at Captain’s deck and loved it. Absolutely amazing and unique place, delicious dinner and breakfast. Manager Tanya was super welcoming and definitely helped to make our stay unforgettable.

unfortunately not clean at all. there was dust and hair everywhere and even sand in the bed. I felt very uncomfortable to spend time in the room.
