This hotel is designed impressively in an old African style. It's located by the beach where flamingos visit Walvis Bay so you can admire these pink birds right from the terrace, however, it's a bit far from the city center, shops, and other restaurants. The rooms are jaw-dropping, the family room has a mezzanine and everyone who has kids knows that that ladder is those little creatures' obsession. There is a nice and well-maintained patio with a swimming pool and resting area. The restaurant offers various la carte options, drinks, wine, and cocktails.

Although breakfast was included, we were additionally charged for ordering a fresh omelet as it wasn't in the buffet. There was a limited wine list, so we had to order more expensive options than we previously wanted. Some of the la carte meals weren't available. Also... and please treat it as friendly advice... the staff shouldn't have complained to guests about the salary level and problems they were personally struggling with. We didn't feel comfortable about it.

Everything from the staff, to our room facing the lagoon to the breakfast was all just what we needed. The staff were always available, ready to help with whatever we needed ie, tours, taxis, recommendations etc. We felt so well loved.

Not much, other than there was no official door to our bathroom, but there was a separate toilet rite outside out door, so we managed.

I stayed here more then 10yrs ago and revisit this cosy gem and found it has changed ownership to the Taiwanese. Place still very well kept but slight renovation to expand the dining areas and outdoor garden was removed sadly which I loved the lawn. The cosy living sofa that used to be was also gone to my dismay but I can understand changes maybe required by new owner. I’m glad they kept 80% of the original looks and furnitures which adds to the nostalgic part of this wonderful boutique hotel which I adores.

If I have to choose something maybe the 1.) new renovation done. Somehow it loses the “homely” feeling of the old cosy sofa that used to be part of the dining room. 2.) The room carpet can be professionally shampoo washed and the sofa seat cover should be washed and cleaned as I find it too dusty. No fault of the chambermaids as they did their job very very well and professionally during my 4 days stay BUT I guess they lacked of the proper requirements to shampoo clean the carpet or the sofa seats covers that ought to be provided by the owner. 3) Lacked of power sockets in the room. 4) Toilet seats cover need to change and leaking taps need to repair. Light bulb malfunction also need to be replace.

Very nice hotel with welcoming reception. They helped us book a tour for the sandwich harbour and adviced on a good spot to get a dinner. Overall this was very pleasant

In a double room there were no doors to the toilet. I do not like the open set up in general, but somehow you do not care that much about a shower but toilet takes the intimacy too far. Also the services at breakfast was extremely slow.

Very cool and pretty looking despite the low price. My room had two floors The restaurant is very very good

For some reasons all hotels in Walvis Bay have a straw roof and it makes it very very cold at night

Staff were very helpful and professional. They provided a free laundry service which was very helpful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Location of the accommodation is superb right on the waterfront.

Rooms are a bit dated. But the location and value for money is what made this a good stay. Directly across the road is the pink flamingo colony. And 5 minute drive around the point is the pink lagoon. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I got the best room- it was gorgeous and spacious. lovely location in front of the flamingos, great location of the restaurant with a picturesque view and right by the beach.

Lovely staff, good dinner, comfy bed, quiet, safe. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my stay!

The only thing I'd comment on in the breakfast - the warm section was a bit cold by the time I went to have breakfast.
