This little hotel is a true gem. From the very first moment you walk through the door, you can feel the care and attention that went into its decoration: every detail radiates warmth and instantly makes you feel at home. The rooms are not only beautiful but also very comfortable. The bathrooms are generously sized, which is always a plus, offering both comfort and functionality during the stay. The terrace, with its own special charm, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Breakfast is another highlight: the buffet is varied, with fresh and high-quality options, and guests can also order hot dishes prepared on the spot, making the experience even more enjoyable. But what truly makes the difference here is the people. The hosts and the entire team —whether at breakfast, housekeeping, maintenance, or security— are simply wonderful. Professional, attentive, and always with a smile, they make guests feel genuinely welcome. That mix of professionalism and warmth leaves a lasting impression. In short, this is a place full of care and charm, offering comfort, excellent food, and above all, an exceptional team. A hotel you’ll definitely want to return to.

Overall we were very happy with our stay here! The rooms are spacious with large, comfy beds. The rooms were very clean with good quality towels and bedding. Nice hot showers with good pressure. The staff were all very friendly and Malani was super helpful and tried to make our stay extra special given it was our honeymoon. They also have a security guard monitoring the parking lot where our car was parked but at no point did we ever feel unsafe in the area. The breakfast was also decent and they had a wide selection of options.

My only recommendation would be that maybe they don't have as much food on offer at breakfast i.e. after a couple days the bread becomes not as fresh. Thus possibly consdering having a smaller display of food stuffs for breakfast. This was a minor thing though and it was only if one wanted to eat the bread products. Everything else was excellent with regards to the breakfast.

Breakfast is a real treat rich and delicious, with a wide variety of options including fresh fruits, meats, eggs, cheeses, juices, milk, and more. The location is perfect for exploring the area, with plenty of excursions available nearby. Plus, it’s just a short walk to see wildlife like flamingos and jackals, which is truly unique. The staff is fantastic always helpful, attentive, and dedicated to keeping everything spotless. They clean every day and everywhere, ensuring the highest level of comfort for the guests. One of the best parts is that it’s pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along to enjoy this wonderful place with you. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and friendly environment.

The Rez is a comfortable establishment with a friendly, open lay-out and large, comfortable rooms. It is clean and neat, and the hospitality of the owner and staff is exceptional. It is air conditioned and there is ample space in the communal areas with big chairs to discuss business or relax. Early booking is essential for obvious reasons. When in Walvis, I stay at The Rez.

It is difficult to say, but the only thing I can come up with, is the absence of an ocean view, thought this is not a requirement for me.

It is a guesthouse, which means, it is cosy, romantic, but most importantly, the personal is incredible nice and takes care of you. We had an incredible experience with Jade & team, they make our stay and holiday just amazing. They helped us with everything, only for this reason, our staying was over all our possible expectations. The kindness is just priceless and honestly very rare today. This was not the case in The REZ, but also in the whole Walvis Bay. What a town, what for amazing people, very safe (against most of comments in social media), incredible clean (cleaner than in Switzerland) and very comfortable. We want to also mention Sam Barnard, the tennis teach at the tennis club, who is trying to build up a tennis community in Walvis Bay. He was very nice to us and the tennis group of the tennis club welcome us exceptionally. Last but not least, the best Capitan in Walvis Bay: Mr. Ruan. A day trip with him, make your journey unforgettable . The Sandwich tour is also fantastic, there are also many other activities and the wind is perfect for Kite surfing at the Lagoon. Also top quality food at fair price. Oysters are exceptional. Finally, you have to ring the bell in a Bar of Walvis Bay!!!!

Hard to find a negative comment. People kindness is exceptional, cleanest town we ever experienced, we had a lot of fun and people are authentic. Very comfortable and very safe. We heard, there can be pick pocket at the harbour because of the Cruises stopping in Walvis Bay, but nothing really dangerous. So no where is perfect, but all in all, one of the top location we ever experienced. The app Yango is a substitute of Uber and is working very well.

It is very well decorated and charming. The type of decoration looks like we are in Morocco. It was different and beautiful decorative objects such as the room mirrors and big jars. The room is spacious and well decorated and very clean. They provide good body wash and body location as well as insect repellent if needed. The room has a private terrace as well.

The breakfast space could be arranged in a different way to accommodate space for the food. It was all packed in other tables.

As my wife and I were waiting to clear immigration in Walvis Bay, Namibia, to get off a cruise ship as we were both very sick and needed medical attention, we booked The Rez Guesthouse for two nights. They accommodated our early check in request, and as we were checking in a few short hours later, Malani, the proprietor, looked at my wife and said: You are not looking well. Do you want to see a doctor? - YESSSS! Within an hour, Malani arranged free transportation to see a private doctor. After examination, the doctor said my wife had to go to the hospital immediately as her lung capacity was dangerously low. Within an hour, my wife was admitted to the only private hospital in Walvis Bay. What does it all have to do with The Rez? A LOT! Malani went above and beyond what was expected of her. When you go on vacation, you don’t expect anything bad to happen. As we learned, it might. Malani literally saved us. And The Rez? Did I mention the nice location in an upscale residential neighborhood only 500 meters away from the waterfront, nice tasteful décor, a cozy courtyard, spacious rooms, upgraded bathrooms, great breakfast (try Ellen’s omelet), and referrals to carefully selected local vendors.

We had an amazing stay at The Rez Guesthouse. The accommodation overall as well as the apartments themselves are not just clean and in great condition but also with a made with a great sense for details. We felt more than welcome and kind of “home away from home” when we arrived. The staff is super kind and helpful and the breakfast buffet more than we wished for. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable! We highly recommend this accommodation!

Convenient location for tours into Sandwich Harbour, we were able to leave our car at the property (they have private parking that’s monitored with CCTV and security guard from 6pm to 6am. Room and bathroom were clean. It was just a little too cold and smelled old/dusty inside the room but that’s because of moisture in the air probably. There is A/C so you can warm up the room quite quickly. Staff was nice and accommodating. All in all, pleasant stay and would recommend them!

We were truly happy with our experience. The warm welcome from our host made us feel right at home, and having safe, watched parking was a big plus. The large, comfortable bed, the beautifully set-up patio, and the generous breakfast all added to the charm. The only small downside was the presence of a few mosquitoes — but it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!
