The property is simply a heaven. The garden is well taken care of, the rooms exquisite and everything is thought for you to relax in nature. It is not in the city, so you need either a car or taxi, but the type of property - spa - clearly indicates that. The breakfast is great, everything’s fresh and the people are very nice, willing to help with anything. A taxi ride from the hotel to the city centre & back is ensured by the hosts, & that usually works very good. Relaxation-wise, you surely can stay there and enjoy a restful, beautiful time for recharge. They are dog friendly, & Albus, the dog host is so nice & shy. The Romanian lady cooking the tarts is super nice & she made some awesome desserts. The reception staff was also very nice, helpful and a true joy to talk to. Surely will come back 🫠

I have stayed in many beautifully quaint hotels around the world and this is by far my favorite. The service is beyond exceptional. Unfortunately the day I arrived, I had left a piece of my luggage on the train. The staff immediately jumped in and helped me navigate my lost luggage. They are truly warm and so personable, maybe my favorite part about this hotel. The property and design of this hotel is so well thought out. It’s incredible gardens made my morning jet lag disappear within minutes. The sounds of the sweet birds, the comfort of the bed and the beautiful bath were such an unexpected treat. I truly enjoyed the entire property, including the most delicious breakfast, afternoon treats and cocktails. Think farm to table. My boyfriend and I did yoga on the terrace, enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and eucalyptus steam shower. Not only is this a quiet gem in the hills but it’s an easy taxi ride to the historical part of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening out on the town at a beautiful restaurant right in the river. I truly hope to come back to this magical location.

Absolutely nothing.

This is a very special place—a tranquil sanctuary where you can truly relax. The garden is extensive and lush, full of greenery and flowers that create a peaceful atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Our room had a nice mix of rustic style and modern comfort. The bed was super comfortable with a memory foam mattress. we had two floors, wonderful view from the upstairs. There was also a little dining area which we used. A great bathroom with a shower with fantastic hair conditioner. Sylvia and Fulya were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book dinner in Verona’s old city and arranged taxis for us, which was really convenient since it was included in the stay. We had a lovely, home made breakfast at a poolside table, served with exquisite cutlery, which made the start of our day feel special. loved the green juice we ordered! We also took a nice walk to a nearby vineyard restaurant that serves their own and local produce. The vineyard has a spectacular view that’s not to be missed, and their wine was amazing. they do wine tasting tours which we didn’t do—but definitely worth a visit. The spa was great too, with a sauna and pools, and we had it all to ourselves during our stay. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing place with great service. I would definitely recommend Villa Dei Gelsi!

We enjoyed the spa facilities along with the surrounding gardens. The staff were excellent and beyond willing to help. As it is a smaller accommodation, the staff were able to provide an excellent service. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

The location is good however not ideal. The city centre is around a 20-25 minute walk from Villa die Gelsi. This is mostly down hill and can be steep in places. The walk back to the villa can be challenging due to the hills and possibly the weather. However, this is made easier as there is a bus stop about 7 min walk from the villa. Guests should be prepared to use bus/taxi for journeys back to villa, especially at night. No other complaints about the property itself!

Everything about my stay was perfect. It was super quiet and calm and comfortable. I wanted to stay an extra day! The staff were super friendly and welcoming to me and my little dog. The chef even baked me a special gluten free oatmeal cake for breakfast! It made me feel seen and heard and welcomed. Get the fresh juices and omelette and the strong cappucino. So many gluten free options for breakfast, as I am intolerant. Also, I loved the smell of roses and other flowers on the property. It was fun to stay at a dog friendly property.

I really wanted to swim in the pools, but I am a sissy for cold water. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. I love that you can swim 24/7, in case you have jet lag. The sauna closes at 11pm, when reception closes.

What an exceptional stay we had at Villa Dei Gelsi, I can't recommend this place enough!!!  We came with our daughter, Margot who turned 5 while we were staying there. The staff went above and beyond to make her birthday morning extra special.  The rooms are immaculate and the spa is gorgeous. We wish we could have stayed here longer and will hopefully return some time soon.  Thank you again for a perfect stay and helping to make happy memories for my little girl.

The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, providing all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, my stay at Relais dei Gelsi was nothing short of perfect. The combination of a serene environment, immaculate accommodations, and the warm, familial hospitality of the hosts made this a truly exceptional experience. Within moments of arriving I said to my husband “This place is heaven.” In the hills just outside of Verona, Relais Villa Dei Gelsi & Spa is beautiful and decorated to the highest standards. You'll feel like a guest at someone's secluded country compound. The best part is that it’s intimate—there are only 9 rooms and the property and pool are for guests alone (you’ll see the other guests from time to time, primarily at breakfast, but it never feels like you’re on top of each other). The people who work here make you feel truly welcome and cared for. Our dog was able to roam freely about the property. We walked downhill into Verona twice (a good 20-25 minute (often cobblestone) walk depending on the route you take). The hotel contracts with a local taxi service to comp two of your rides back or forth otherwise. Breakfast was good. There is no restaurant outside of the breakfast service, but we knew that in advance and planned accordingly. Nevertheless, they can prepare light snacks and drinks, which we really appreciated and enjoyed each day of our stay. Grazie mille for the relaxing time! We will definitely return.

Facilities and staff was amazing, considering my flight was late on the day of check out the hotel managed to accommodate me on such short notice and let me have the room until later on in the day. I would highly recommend but book and vehicle as taxis can be a nightmare to get in Verona.

Super dog friendly, perfect mixture of modern furniture and classic architecture, extremely clean, very quite yet close to the center and amazingly friendly service! We felt very welcomed and our dog was not only allowed to accompany us to the breakfast area but in fact she could run around everywhere all day long playing with the super friendly owner’s dog Albus. It’s also perfectly located up in the quiet hills over Verona but you still can walk down to the city centre within half an hour. Everyone was super helpful and a great host. We stayed two days at the pool and felt very relaxed.
