We visited Hay for a couple of days sightseeing. We wanted a motel that was clean, comfortable and had some amenities; like a refrigerator, microwave, cutlery and crockery. This motel had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room had clearly been updated with modern furnishings. The manager was friendly and checked if there was anything else we needed. Very happy with this motel. We would stay here again no problem!

Our only disappointment was there was no guest laundry. After speaking to the manager, she commented that it was something they were working on. But in the meantime there is a laundromat in town. It still does not change our rating of this motel. We would happily return again.

The facilities were clean. The environment was quiet.

The tissue box was hidden away in a cupboard in the bathroom; had to check with the staff; would be better if it's placed on the table near the TV.

When returning from NSW to Adelaide SA following an unexpected trip due to a family medical emergency, it was an easy decision to return to the Highway Inn, which is where we’d stayed for a stopover on the way from SA to NSW. The staff were kind, friendly and accommodating and the room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. We all particularly appreciated how lovely the staff were both times and that they were willing to accommodate late check ins due to our long drives. If we’re ever staying in Hay again we will definitely consider booking here!

Staff were easy to communicate with, kind and friendly. They made arrangements for us so that we could arrive after hours without issue, after a long drive from Adelaide SA. The price was very reasonable and the room was perfectly clean with a comfortable bed. It was perfect for our stopover and the staff who spoke to us as we packed the car the following morning were so lovely which we really appreciated as we were about to continue our drive through to Toronto due to a family medical emergency.

Absolutely gorgeous room. There was plenty of space for our family to stay in comfortably & not get in each other's way. The owner was so lovely and checked in on us after we'd settled in to make sure we were comfortable & had everything we needed. We recieved an upgrade from a standard room to a family room to give me a larger bathroom space ( I'd enquired upon arrival as to the availability of the disabled room because I'd just thrown my back out). I can't recommend this motel highly enough. Everything about it exceeded our expectations.

The room was large, very clean, quiet, comfortable and the staff very friendly and engaging.

Nothing as the property is great. But for information don’t order western food at the bowling club over the road. Chinese food is said to be great but we had what was supposed to be a chicken schnitzel (that wasn’t). For western food go to the South Hay Hotel. Excellent food.

Everything was so clean and tidy, you can see that the owners take a lot of pride in their property. We couldn't check in until after 9pm due to a long distance drive, instead of picking up a key from a lock box as normal after hours, the Manager, waited up and made sure we got in ok and to meet and great us and pass over the key. Exceptional service.

Quiet, well appointed, and the staff were lovely. This was my last stop after having been on the road for three weeks. I was looking for somewhere quiet and comfortable to rest up before my final drive home. From the warm greeting at reception to the lovely room, the Highway Inn Motel ticked all the boxes and exceeded my expectations.

Owners were awesome. Accomadated our late check-in and were very helpful despite the late hour The accom was excellent, fit our fam of 5 very comfortably Beds were comfy with elec blankets which was perfect for middle of winter. Also great heating throughout accom also Big bathtub and piping hot water made for a great break off the road Very clean and comfortable all round plus really good value for money A+, will DEF stay again

Clean, quiet, comfortable. We appreciated being able to park our car& trailer in front of our room. We loved being able to pop over the road and buy delicious Chinese takeaway from the bowling club. The Dunera museum was a 5 minute walk and was very interesting. Enjoyed our one night stay in Hay.

The bed was a little firm but okay.
