staff was beyond great.....attentive, helpful, and ready to please.

food.... choices for "phinnicky" people made it difficult to find eating choices.. not enough American alternatives. ate burgers and steak all week...(mot a bad thing) BUT WOULD have like more choices. the one restarurant that had choices was only open Saturday for dinner and lunch, and we were not there on a Saturday/ choices were Asian (don't eat), Italian (don't eat), and buffet was great when the themed nights weren't Caribbean, Italiaan....

the location is awesome. just because it is all inclusive doesn’t mean you stay at the hotel. the hotel is surrounded by a few different lounges, strip club, supermarket, other places to eat, Maho beach and 5 mins from the airport. So when the last place closes at 1230 get out of the hotel! the other places close at 5 am. I also admire the young staff. They are so professional and welcoming. Thanks Nora! you were awesome.

The pool and pool bar closed too early. Also Ocean point has access to everything at Maho but not the other way around so be aware. Also some restaurants included have a dress code. I wanted to try the Italian food but my bf didn’t have a shirt with a collar so we weren’t allowed. it’s a vacation!! just little things like that should be noted.

Perfect location, tasty foods, shake of fresh fruits at breakfast, separately caffee shop, right next to Maho Beach and very close to Mullet Bay, extra experience to watch and hear the landing and taking-off of airplanes. Level of hygiene is very high, cleaning staff is continuously sanitizing. Overall a great hotel and Sint Maarten / Saint Martin is beautiful.

Breakfast restaurant is sometimes crowded and looks small as compared to the size of the hotel. Although we were at the beach and not at the pool, so we were not concerned, but lots of guests booked sunbeds with towels. Evening entertainment programs would be welcoming in the hotel.

I only stayed here for one night but it was a special occasion for me. The room was very nice and big. Very positive point over the view (upgraded) that I really appreciated on the balcony. The reception staff was very welcoming. Italien restaurant was very nice for dinner, my waiter was amazing and mindful and the sound of the waves near the table was enjoyable. Thanks again

TV channel not a lot of choices (not even US or France) and no Chromecast, the breakfast was not good quality and staff seems to be taking care more of groups or couple. I alone, did not feel very welcomed on my arrival at breakfast. The fact that the swimming pool close at 8:00pm is unfortunate.

Breakfast was actually really good no issues there. The staff was very polite and welcoming. Drinks on drinks on drinks , of course I liked that. The excursions on the island was for sure my favorite part about it. The nightlife was fun too .

One thing I did not like at all was that my sheets were not changed for TWO days. On day two I had to go to the front desk and ask them to take care of it. Also, I liked the bathroom but the shower .. if you didn’t position the shower head properly all of the water would end up on the floor (there’s no shower door, I’m not complaining but people should know).

The breakfast buffet is absolutely amazing, and none of the food disappointed. Definitely recommend trying the Lava Rock for dinner - get the steak. Really good food, especially for a resort and the staff is lovely. The bar tender who works at the Palms Grill makes amazing mojitos. The view of the planes is incredible!

The only real complaint I have is that there seemed to be something wrong with the sewage system at the Adults Only section...about twice a day there was a real unpleasant smell coming from there. Didn't affect our stay at Sonesta at all, but something to be aware of.

Food options were great! Nice variety and tasty. Housekeeping refreshed the room daily. Daily activities are plentiful and exciting for adults and kids. Staff were all very pleasant, accommodating and resourceful. Proximity to the airport to view plane landings was fascinating.

The pool smelled like my turtle's aquarium when its extremely dirty i.e. like a sewer. The drinks were weak and proportions were terribly off.

Stayed for one week. The hotel is located very close to the airport but it's wise to take a taxi rather than walk. A taxi will cost $5-10 per person. You can get right outside the airport and hotel. The room booked was received the view not so great but this wasn't a major issue as very little time was spent in the room. We were welcomed by Cedric with a cold towel and a welcome drink which was a bubbly! Our luggage was tagged and kept until our room was ready. Your luggage can also be kept if you have a late departure flight. The restaurants are excellent check the open schedule. Lava rock experience is a must! Followed by la fontana (Italian). There is a light dress code for la fontana. men listen to the check in clerk and wear your collared shirt or t-shirt you will be refused entry. The buffet offered a wide variety of foods with gluten free options. My only disappointment was the deserts very basic and poor tasting. There is ice cream at the buffet for both lunch and dinner which was nice. The Cafe is located near the main reception and the treats here were also very nice you can get a good variety of sandwiches with your coffee and tea. The mature ladies that work here a little intimating just ignore the lack of smiles at the Cafe. The staff everywhere else really adds to the experience they are extremely pleasant, professional accomadating willing and HARDWORKING please watch your manners and tip them!!!! Burgers and hotdogs are offered at the pool grill bet 3-6pm they were one of the best burgers we've had. The grill man is very organized. Don't rush him! Stand in line and wait. it's worth the wait. The burger toppings are also adequate. This resort is a family resort expect kids teenagers and noise. If you're looking for a quiet stay try ocean point. Maho beach is rough it maybe worth your while to visit mullet bay which is walking distance as you exit the hotel make a left and follow the road.Overall very good value for money.

The bathroom wall in my room was a little dirty. It needs a deep steam.

The location in one of the best beaches in St Marteen; the wide food choices and the room that was spacious and comfortable. The drinks at the different bars were very good and varied. The extended hours of the fitness center were also a plus

A little outdated, especially the pool and quite often the lines to be seated at restaurants were excessive even though there were tables available. Personnel is generally competent, but most of them not particularly welcoming when you required assistance.

My stay in St. Maarten was a dream come true. As a aviation lover, this hotel was a choice number one. I appreciated all inclusive option, you can visit several a la carte restaurants or buffet. The place is located just a few minutes from SXM airport and has much to offer including with the view to Maho Beach with the famous aircraft landing. Don’t worry about the noice, you will love the planes and there is no traffic at nights. Hotel staff also made my stay special, thank you for that. I will be back.
