The room was enormous - the largest we have stayed in, the wi-fi excellent, the pool fantastic and the property is absolutely stunning. All the staff were lovely, but special mention to Alison and Alex, who met us on arrival. Also Alex is the glue that keeps everything going - he was everywhere - and was also chef for 3 nights. The poolside BBQ was exceptional and will long be remembered.

There is so much to list. Staff so lovely helpful the best. Room was frankly just spectacular. Huge wrap around terrace. Views stunning. Lovely Spa. Great restaurant and really wonderful spot. The owners have thought of every small detail. Fully stocked mini bar. Good effective aircon . We will definitely visit again.

The place is beautiful, lovely landscape, historic buildings and room with a perfect combination of traditional materials and modern style and facilities. Our suite was clean, stylish and comfortable with everything you could want. The spa is perfect. The staff and owners are very welcoming, friendly, kind and helpful.

Exceptional hotel. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a nice time. The rooms are high quality and very well furnished. The best is the spa. Simply amazing. Highly recommended place.

The room, pool area & car parking were great. The pool itself was well designed. Alison, the on site manager, was very helpful. The hotel had a great looking spa although we never got to try it as the weather was fabulous

We booked the hotel partly on the basis of the on site restaurant, only to find this had been closed temporarily due to "staffing issues". Fortunately there was an excellent restaurant within a 20 minute stroll. Breakfast was generally disorganised affair & disappointedly poor for an establishment of this quality. Although the general structure, garden & pool area was sound there were a number of eye sores in terms of water features that had clearly not worked for a while & outdoor public areas that needed a tidy up. This gave the impression of a certain degree of neglect & lack of maintenance. The view from our terrace was restricted by a large tree which was a bit frustrating Around the poolside, the late afternoon insect load built up - I'm not sure if spraying the area with a suitable insecticide would help
