First, I need to make it clear that this was a quality in hotel until just a few months ago. So don’t wonder what’s the difference between this and the quality and. It is now owned by the Navajo nation, which is a very good thing. There’s updating to be done, but they’re working on there. Meanwhile, the rooms are nice, the bed is comfortable, there’s a workspace and chairs, and a small lobby you can kind of sit in. Free breakfast is included (buffet on Saturdays and Sundays) the restaurant is right in the hotel. At my first breakfast, I got to experience a couple of local foods that I’ve never tried before or even heard of. The location is great if you want to see window rock. You could go to Gallup, but that’s kind of a rough place these days. This is a nice calm place. There’s a supermarket nearby. There’s plenty of gas stations. And all the people who work here are good, and many of the guests are regulars. And you’ll see a diverse group of people here.
It needs some upgrades. But that will happen. It’s pretty much like a quality inn by choice hotels. Only now the profits help the Navajo nation rather than the choice corporation.

You are given a choice of three different breakfasts, sausage & egg, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy. We both had the egg & sausages, they were excellent, served with a choice of 5 different bread types. We ate supper at the attached restaurant. A limited menu, and excellently prepared. There seemed to be locals eating there as well as motel guests - always a good sign as to price and quality.
The shower-tub had separate hot and cold water faucets, this does make adjusting the shower temperature more difficult.

We had an issue at first because they didn't have any pet rooms available even though they were advised when I booked that I was traveling with a pet. The issue was resolved fairly quickly. They have a very nice restaurant in the lobby area. Staff was very nice. Housekeeping did an excellent job as I left a clothing item in the room and had to return the next day for said item. I can't thank her enough. She wasn't on duty when I returned. Thank you.

We liked the hotel, and were especially pleased with the pleasant staff, The room was fine, reasonably spacious and decently furnished. The full service buffet breakfast was excellent. We liked the Window rock area. It is a nice alternative to Gallup.
The WIFI in our room was pitiful - barely one bar available. It was sluggish, frequently disconnected, requiring constant re-booting. There was a semi tractor/trailer rig sitting at idle in the parking lot. The noise was bothersome. I brought this situation to the attention of the desk, and was assured that the problem would be rectified. The rig remained in place at idle until it departed early the next morning.

Great breakfast menu, hot cooked meals - also on the weekends a breakfast buffet which was terrific. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. All the waiters and the staff at the register were very friendly and helpful and fast to bring you the drinks and meals. Huge tip of the hat to the entire team.
I can't think of anything that could have been better.

Enjoyed the free breakfast. A family of four can get expensive, so it was nice to have a complementary breakfast. It tasted wonderful! We enjoyed the welcome cookies, and the cedar for blessings was a great way to welcome anyone to the Navajo land.
The pillows were a bit lumpy but not unbearable. We did have a slight issue with shower head, but once we told the front desk, they had maintenance fix it right away.

Very, very clean and comfortable. We have found Native run lodging to be consistently well run, very friendly and very clean. Pride in their hospitality is apparent. Breakfast was very good
Would like additional breakfast items available for purchase.

The breakfast is out of this world. Very generous portions and excellent staff.
I hike a lot. A pool would be nice, but I knew there was not one when I booked. The ability to get ice after the office is closed would be nice

It's not really the fault of the hotel but the timezone on my phone kept switching so it was kind of hard to plan things. The room was clean and cozy.
A continental breakfast instead of the vouchers would have been nice. The beds were pretty small for how much the hotel costs.

Property was easy to find, rooms were spotless, staff were friendly. Breakfast included was a limited menu from the full restaurant, so got a freshly prepared egg and toast along with tea! Price was very affordable for the quality.
A colleague had trouble with the flooded parking lot when arriving after a storm, but my experience was fine - just something to watch out for if traveling during monsoon season!
