We did not book the breakfast, but there is rest area where guests can have their own breakfast. The location is excellent that guest can take the taxi directly to the guesthouse entrance where is just right in the Hanok Village area of Jeonju. The room is not very large, but considering it's a traditional Hanok, it’s quite nice. It's also very clean and has air conditioning, so guest doesn't has to worry about it being too cold at night.

There are quite a lot of mosquitoes, and the soundproofing is not very good. For travelers who are sensitive to noise, it's recommended to wear earplugs. Also, be sure to use the mosquito repellent or insecticide provided by the host as soon as you check in that will help the travellers sleep much better.

One of the best locations in Jeonju if you want to stay in the Hanok Village. Next to the river, close to convenient stores, cafés, restaurants, bars and other touristy stuff. 50-100m away from all the action, so it’s also very quiet at the same time. Really cute traditional Hanok house. The owners were super helpful, prompt in their response. Good facilities. I’d highly recommend this place

Because it’s a traditional Hanok house (perhaps a 100 years old) the bathroom is quite small. I personally had no problem with it but my wife preferred a bigger bathroom. But there’s always a give and take. For the overall experience, it’s a small price to pay.

Exceptional stay! Cleanliness and tidiness were absolutely impeccable. Traditional futons were surprisingly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. 2-year-old child absolutely loved the accommodation and the surrounding area. During rainy days, it was wonderful to sit on the veranda and enjoy a cup of tea while listening to the rain. Jeonju is a great place itself with a lot of caffees and sights around. A special mention must be made of the hosts' attention to detail and their kindness. In all my travels, I have never encountered such care and warmth towards guests. I wish these wonderful people an abundance of great clients in the future. We had initially planned to travel to Busan, but we loved it here so much that we decided to extend our stay until the end of our vacation. I would highly recommend this place!

The staff was so friendly and helpful. They talked to the taxi driver, met me outside, gave me an upgraded room for free, chose the room for me because of the flowerbed outside the door, helped me find my way around and was in general so incredibly kind and hospitable. They also booked a taxi for me when I left and waited with me till the taxi arrived. The room was amazing, the guest house is beautiful and it's perfectly located by Joenju Hanok Village. I stayed for 3 days and it was perfect. If I go back to Joenju I will stay at Sarangroo again. I cannot recommend this beautiful place enough. It's the perfect place to stay for a trip to Joenju Hanok Village. And very affordable too.

For a hanok that is in the traditional style, it was warmer than we expected and we slept surprisingly well on the floor mattress. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and whilst they didn't have extensive English, they tried their utmost to communicate. Our Korean extends to two words, although when our son joined us later he was able to converse in Korean and they gave us lots of hints and tips about the area and the weather. The breakfast was simple (toast, eggs and fruit, juice, tea and coffee) but welcome and everything was fresh. A good location for exploring Jeonju. All in all a great stay if you want to experience the traditional hanok.

We could have done without the thunderstorm but we realise that's not in their control :-)

We had a nice experience staying in a traditional Korean hanok this August! This hotel is located very close to the city center with all the main places of interest, restaurants and shops, yet it's very quiet and peaceful - you go out and enjoy the nature and the surroundings. The inner garden was very cute. A perfect stay for a couple of days for sure! (worth mentioning that you sleep on very thin futon beds, but it has to be seen as a part of the Korean adventure!)

The room was not very spaceous for two big luggages.

The lady owner was very kind and helpful and helped us park our car outside the accommodation, which we really appreciated. We also got useful info in advance of our stay, such as parking info, etc. We liked the authentic hanok experience. The location was very good. We managed to get a limited parking spot outside, but there is free parking a small walk away (around 10 mins, as I remember). Fast WiFi was available. Shower was powerful. The room was clean. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave early, so didn't take advantage of it.

You have to remember that you will be sleeping on the floor on a very thin mattress with traditional firm pillows, which are not the most comfortable. But we did know this in advance and wanted to experience 1 night in a hanok.

Spectacular scenery around. Absolutely astonishingly stunning place. If you want to feel true Korea this is the place. It’s rather small but very cozy. Well equipped and just beautiful. Air con is working very well. Walls are very thin but it gives some intimate atmosphere. Owners are very kind. There is some public space where you can enjoy tea or coffee or even prepare some simple food. Location is amazing, just in the old town but still close to some convenient store. Form the train station is 15 minutes drive, should cost around 10 000 won.

Location was excellent, walking distance from everything in the main city center. The town was very nice, loved the old-style architecture and atmosphere. Really enjoyed seeing everyone in the traditional Hanbok outfits and all of the variety. Highly recommend the Gyeonggijeon Shrine. Lots of Korea history to be found Check-in was great. Hosts were very friendly and gave us a good intro to the place. Breakfast was good, simple but sufficient and there was enough for everyone. The room was very clean and such a unique experience. The heated floors were so cool. Obviously not done the traditional way, but the experience was the same and it was great. I will say that setting it at a normal temp actually was VERY warm so once we adjusted that down a few notches it was very comfortable. It was great to have our own private bathroom, I highly recommend this option. Room was great size for 2 people. I went with my daughter and it worked out well. It would be really great for a couple. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

One problem was that the website stated that additional bed pallets were not available. The sheet we received on check-in did say that we could get an additional pallet for a very reasonable extra fee, but we didn't read all the way to the bottom to find that out ... our fault, not theirs. But it would help if the website were updated to state that.

It's a small, clean, comfortable room a couple minutes walk from the traditional hanok village and faces a beautiful river perfect for long walks. Host is very pleasant and helpful and the floor heating kept me cozy in the extremely cold weather.

Bathroom is tiny, you literally shower on top of the toilet. The 'bed' is a duvet on the floor, not even a thin mattress so might not be suitable if you have back issues. Pillows are bean-filled blocks but I had my own travel pillow so was fine. But they DO say the experience is traditional hanok living so I'm not complaining, just letting you know what to expect. Oh yes, you can hear EVERYTHING from your next door neighbours, ball-slapping included 😂
