It was absolutely magical – – – everything that I had envisioned. To be able to stay in an actual convent that is hundreds of years old, set inside a gloriously beautiful park, in a prime location in Ragusa, was such a special and unique experience. The rooms are simple yet perfect. The fact that there is a working church attached to the convent meant that I was treated to the most glorious choir singing filling the halls during a Monday afternoon wedding. Stefano welcomed me warmly upon my arrival, gave me a tour of the hotel, and was pleasant and accommodating throughout. This was a very memorable experience.

We chose this accommodation knowing the rooms may be small and simple as a tradeoff for staying in this wonderful historic former convent. Great old-world charm was left intact but still offers modern conveniences. We enjoyed the short tour Stefano gave of the property. Breakfast had plenty of choices and the dinner we had was not only delicious but beautifully presented. You will step out of the door into a gorgeous public garden with sitting areas and a fountain. The garden is beautifully lit at night. At the far end, garden gates open to a short walk into the lovely town center.

Only negative was no on-site parking but we were able to drop our bags at the reception desk and luckily find free parking about 5 minutes away.

A truly beautiful hotel in an idyllic public garden setting. We were checked in by the delightful Stefano, who took the time to show us around the property in spite of juggling some ongoing events. The rooms have been very well converted from the original monks' cells, were well maintained and spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the original refectory was splendid. We were genuinely sad to leave here after our two nights.

There was no comfortable setting in the convent garden - possibly moved to accommodate the many events and functions the hotel is ideally suited for? We just moved to a bench in the public garden, which wasn't a hardship. Free on-street parking is a pot luck affair.

Very nice staff and pretty location. The hotel is in gardens at the edge of the old town so it is very quiet and charming. Very short walk to the heart of the old town. Staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. We also ate at the hotel and the meal was good and the setting nice: We ate in the refectory room of the convent, which was special.

The rooms are small and plain. They are the old cells of the convent. Nothing wrong with them and in fact that was a special part of the stay; just know that the rooms are spare and small.

We stayed at Antico Convento dei Cappuccini and really enjoyed the beautiful location – right in the old town and next to a lovely public park, which also has a play area for kids. It was a unique and peaceful experience to stay in a former convent, full of charm and history.

The rooms are basic, but that’s as expected and in line with the pricing. Some parts of the property seem to be in need of renovation soon. Dinner was okay, but nothing special. Overall, a nice stay in a very special setting.

Lovely location and building. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff and great restaurant. Situated in a lovely garden. The public car park was easy to access after dropping off luggage.

The location and the way the old convent was modernized to fit expectations of a modern clientele. It kept the old charm adding new confort.

Everything was great of course the rooms are small as they are made of old monks cells but it pays off with the feeling that you are sleeping in an old convent and in the center of town in a beautiful city garden and overlooking the nature so also very quiet.

For us, this hotel was a delight. A quiet, converted convent in a lovely quiet part of town. The room was clean, large and peaceful; the bathroom was well-appointed. Decorations and appointments in the room were very simple - do not expect 5-star luxury, but cleanliness and simplicity.

We really enjoyed this hotel. For some people, the simplicity of the furnishings might seem too basic - for us it was great.

Converted convent next to public gardens with great character in a super location with great views across valley. Delicious smells of food from the kitchen were almost constant. The young staff were all really friendly and helpful. We wished we had stayed longer.

Parking was only available at some distance from the hotel, but not unusual in towns in Sicily.

Breakfast had a healthful variety of foods. Much was homemade.. It was attractively presented in a lovely setting with lots of natural light. Tables and food table were conveniently located for carrying food. Hours provided ample opportunity to eat a leisurely breakfast.

There was nothing to dislike.
