I was pleasantly surprised by the Mercer. The staff are definitely the highlight (shout out to Joshua) in how friendly and helpful they are. It’s nice that the lobby is just for guests. The room was spacious and they welcomed me with a cookie from Laduree! You can also book a small gym room to work out in, or go to the partner gym if you want something more elaborate. Location is excellent too.

The location is amazing. In Soho near lots of restaurants and shops, walking distance to lots of areas and sites of it interest. Several subway stations close by if you don’t want to walk or want to go further afield. The hotel is in a beautiful historic building on a cobblestone street. The complementary snacks in the mini bar were fabulous. Staff extremely professional and friendly but discrete at the same time. Very quiet in room despite central location.

Two different bathrobes, one really nice and one less nice. Maybe have two the same.

Everything. The attention to detail was exceptional & the team displayed outstanding customer service. The best example of this was on arrival by taxi, my card was rejected for payment & I didn't have sufficient cash. Doorman Jacob suddenly appeared & paid with his own money to settle the fair. Just incredible!

Everything. We’ve been to NYC a few times before and always been slightly disappointed with hotels in general so opted for The Mercer - we weren’t disappointed - it was amazing. Great location, great decor, fabulous food, wonderful room, amazing bed and the nicest, friendliest team I’ve ever encountered in Manhattan. Will definitely bring staying here every time I’m in town. Thank you guys.

Nothing - it was perfection

Breakfast was poor and very much at odds with everything else the place had to offer, i.e. great room, super-friendly and attentive staff, exceptional location and a quiet overall setting.

Food was below expectation and the fact that they didn't have an espresso machine in the room is an unnecessary flop. Also, both breakfast and coffee in the dining room are poor.

I love staying at The Mercer whenever I’m in New York. Location, super staff, perfect rooms, extra perfect baths, relaxing lounge. Some afternoons I don’t even go out!

Easier access to porterage out of regular hours would be nice.

The staff were super nice and helpful. But it took more than 45 minutes to get my car from the valet and they had difficulty finding my bags checked at the front desk which took an additional 20 minutes. Need a better system for both - the valet and the luggage storage room. Otherwise everything else was awesome.

Room was very clean & bed was comfortable. Breakfast & fish bar were great, service was good. Location was ideal!

Small details - We were asked if we wanted a nespresso machine in our room, we said yes. There was not one. Ordered room service for lunch and had to call back for utensils & napkins.
