Location is very good being close to JR Fukui (with shinkansen) and local transport, dining areas and the animated dinosaurs outside Fukui Station. A car rental company is almost next door; quite suitable given a rental car is the best way of visiting Fukui tourist spots. Breakfast room is spacious, opens early and has a large mix of western and Japanese food to eat. The hotel offers an eco-service based around towel change and room cleaning frequency. My standard room was spacious and of good value. Large guest baths (separate Male and Female) are on the top floor. The hotel is modern, though not new, but clean and quiet.

Though the bed was firm, night time room temperature made sleeping under bed covers somewhat uncomfortable; though I find this common in Japan. The eco-service arrangement was puzzling to understand, but go with it anyway.

As far as business hotels go, this was one of my better stays, and I will definitely stay here again when hitting Fukui City. It is located with 200m of Fukui Station, right beside Toyoko Inn, but with a better breakfast and a big communal bath. Everything was as you'd expect from a Japanese "business hotel". They even had WOWOW on the TV, so I caught the Six Nations. Dead cool.

Needed to borrow the sewing set that these hotels tend to have available, as I needed to shorten my shoelaces. The front desk wouldn't lend me a pair of scissors, which was a bit of a shame. No big deal, though.

The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were comfortable. I couldn't get the heater to works since it was all in Japanese but as soon as I called the front desk, they sent someone up right away.

I liked that I got a drink in exchange for being eco-friendly. I really liked the public bath too. It was quiet and it was super convenient in terms of location. The breakfast was good- I like that it was included.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

The free breakfast was very tasty, and there was plenty of variety. It was very well situated for travellers. The beds were clean and comfortable.

Great location, brilliant wifi, very comfy bed, good TV location, powerful shower and very quiet location.

Aircon was a bit old and noisy, shower/toilet was small. I think the room could do with an update; all very brown! Overall price felt a little steep.

A nice place to stay at Fukui. The hotel is close to the Train Station, the tram station, the bus stop and the famous Dinosaur Square. The staff are nice and can speak English well. The room is tidy and clean. They also have some extra facilities like washing machines, dryers, ...

We had a short stay to see the area but mainly the dinosaur museum. This is next door to the train station so excellent location. Room was clean and simple. Breakfast was excellent

Bed was very hard and stiff. Room only had 2 prong electrical outlets. but went to lobby and they lent me a converter Bathroom has the feel of a plane or train bathroom but I’m noticing that may be a Japanese thing as all the bathrooms in the hotels I’ve stayed at while here are like that. The room. bathrooms are modular I assume so they can be replaced as needed.

Very clean and easy to access from Fukui Station. The breakfast had a lot of options with both Western style and Japanese options. The room was large and had extra storage and desk space. The refrigerator was big and didn’t freeze my items. There was no issue asking for an extra pillow.

It was difficult to understand when the garbage would be collected and you would be given new towels. I had too many towels because they left them everyday, but they didn’t collect the trash unless I left it in the hallway. The document explaining this process was only in Japanese and was difficult to understand. The bed is more firm than I like, but I still slept ok.
