The whole castle grounds are absolutely wonderful, the photos here don’t do it justice. There is plenty of parking space and beautiful gardens. The inside of the castle is beautiful too from what I’ve seen, especially the restaurant, the breakfast was great. We’ve slept in the house, not the castle, the room was nice, the beds were very comfy, absolute peace and quiet.

The interactions with stuff felt a bit awkward (expect during the breakfast, everyone was wonderful there). Might have been because of the language barrier, which is completely understandable.

As a history enthusiast, I always enjoy staying in historic places such as manors or castles—and this time was no exception. The entire property is beautifully restored and well maintained. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The reception staff helped me with a kettle when I asked for one to make tea in the evening, as there wasn’t one in the room. I also liked that checking out was simple—you could just drop the key into a separate box by the exit. Since the hotel consists of several buildings, there was no need to go to the reception, which was located in another building. Very convenient.

Unfortunately I had no time to visit restaurant. From outside it looked amazing. Perhaps next time!

Plenty of free parking with no height restrictions. Great as we were travelling in a campervan. Extensive grounds with lovely terraced gardens on the River side of the main building Wonderful restaurant, loved the asparagus still just in season Bus stop outside for trips to Dresden, buses every 15-20min. No need to change to a tram if you do not mind a pleasant 15min walk from Alberbertsplatz past shops, cafes and in the evening street musicians

Lovely classic hotel surprisingly convenient for downtown Dresden. Stay in the Schloss, which is delightful. The restaurant alone is worth the stay, wonderful dinner (we didn't eat the breakfast). Great view from a tower room and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again.

Originally booked the annex but changed to the Schloss and were glad we did. The room we were assigned in the annex felt very claustrophobic. In the Schloss we were very surprised that the room didn't have a kettle or any way of making tea or coffee.

Impeccably well-manicured grounds and lovely flowers and landscaping. The bathroom was the most well-thought-out and beautifully-executed plan with lovely fixtures and tile, and perfectly clean.

We loved everything!

The location and buildings were beautiful. This castle overlooks the Elbe River and has stunning views! Although I was not in the main castle (I was in the Kavalierhaus), my room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. I also had dinner in the restaurant, and it was delicious.

This is actually about excellent customer service. On my last day, there was no hot water. I called the front desk and they suggested that after breakfast, I could shower and get ready in one of rooms in the main castle.

Situated in a park and in a lovely location overlooking the Elbe. We stayed in the annex which was modern and comfortable. However the rooms are somewhat small in size. It is a 50 min walk to the old city centre along the river, public bus available just outside the park. We had the good fortune of a warm evening and had dinner on the castle terrace with Elbe and City views, highly recommended. Destination charing available, however very slow.

You need ti do something about internet. It was horrible experience. I don't remember when last time i use such slow internet and such uncomfortable way to connect to wifi. Please do something about it.

(I have edited this review as I originally wrote about another property we stayed at.) This is a splendidly beautiful location in a massive park like setting which adjoins three castle/mansion properties overlooking the river. Our room was not in the castle building, rather in an annex building. They had done a wonderful job of turning this working building into modern lodging with a big comfy bed and bright windows looking out onto flower gardens. We arrived on a weekend of a substantial religious holiday for the area. Prior to our arrival the hotel texted to caution us that dinner times were fast booking and we should make a reservation. Unfortunately we were on the road and in fact dinner seatings sold out. Still the front desk reception woman took pity on us and reached to the restaurant on our behalf. By the time we settled into our room we had a call with a dinner time. The setting was simply gorgeous, the food wonderful and the wait staff was a true joy. After checking out the next morning we spent a few hours strolling the park property. The mansion next door was also part of the park and had a fun outdoor food service where we grabbed a cold beer and especially tasty bratwurst for lunch. The whole stay was simply enchanting.

Parking can be challenging. This park is open to the public and parking is along the roadsides within the park. You should anticipate food prices in the dining room to be in keeping with a castle environment.

The location was beautiful, the parking was easy and included in the price, the room was clean and comfortable. We had a free room upgrade which was thoughtful. The gardens around the Schloss were really pretty. There is an EV charge point, although it costs €4/hr which is very expensive.

Breakfast was far too expensive at €25pp. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. A wedding meant that we were unable to use the bar or restaurant, which was disappointing as it was a reason for booking (it would be nice to inform guests beforehand of these things). This (and the expensive breakfast/charging facilities) is the only reason it did not meet our expectations.
