The place is great! the facilities have an old-school charm to them and it's clear the a lot of love was put into the design <3 The balcony is huge and the view is of greenery and a stream of water - that was such a great bonus for me! Despite being so quiet it's perfectly located if you want to enjoy Neustadt by foot and easy to reach any other attraction in the city due to great public transportation in the area. the service was wonderful and we enjoyed every minute of it!

I didn't like the "coffee station" the coffee machine is meant as your source of hot water for tea but it's not hot enough and often comes out dirty if you actually used a coffee capsule. additionally filling the water tank is only possible in the bathroom which was a bit.. meh? The balcony was not cleaned as well as the room.. there were some cobwebs and dirt (especially on the rail) that I think they should have cleaned, but it was easy to ignore and sort, so no bad feeling, just a point for improvement These are all such tiny issues if I'm honest, the place is awesome and I'll definitely come again!

Big room. Good price. Interesting art interior, handmade. Friendly staff. Large balcony to drink coffee. Good location . There is a small coffee machine with capsules. For the price the hotel is good and can be recommended. There is a cocktail bar and theatre nearby. My stay was very quiet. For me it is not a problem, but I assume it could be noisy, some days, just as remarks for business travellers, this may be important for them

The place needs some renovation work in my opinio, like painting the walls, changing curtains. Cleanliness in my room is passable, but not perfect. However the place could look much better and cleaner with some small renovation work, like floor varnish and paint.

It's like Salvador Dali decorated Fred Flintstone's secret gay bachelor pad. Surreal and fantastical interior deco, and executed very well. Be sure to book a table in advance for a travestie show at Carte Blanche - they're mind blowing and fun. The staff are really welcoming and lovely

The room didn't have an electric kettle, surprisingly (tho it did have a Nespresso machine). Breakfast was a bit barren by quarter past ten, so we jaunted to a nearby cafe. But we came earlier on last visit and it was a spread of tasty options.

The staff of Backstage hotel, especially the girl at Check-in desk is really professional and helpful. She arranged for us to wait in the restaurant until the room was ready. We can use the wifi and drink coffee for free there. There was no fridge in the room, so she put our stuff in the fridge in their kitchen. She also agreed to extend a bit of the Check-out time for us and communicate with the housekeeping staff. Very patient and kind and clear, excellent team!

Our room N.10 was beautifully decorated and spacious, the bathroom as well, the towels were nicely soft, the bed comfortable, the breakfast room attractive, the breakfast tasty and varied. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood and offers the possibility of paid parking. The young lady at the reception was very nice and helpful.

The streets in the neighbourhood are under reconstruction at the moment, so it was rather difficult to find the way.

The room is extremely spacious and clean as well as all staff were welcoming. The area is located in a very convenient area for exploring the city. We’ll definitely come back when visiting Dresden.

Had an issue with hot water but it was sorted quickly. So no stress in the stay.

The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel really is wonderfully unique with very nice rooms. The location was also excellent. The old town is not too far away and we also got to explore the Neustadt which turned out to be a very vibrant and artsy place.

Huge room with unusual decor, comfy mattress and pillow, coffee machine. You also get a little discount for the show in Carte Blanche theatre, which is next door.

Hard to think of complaints! Well, there were only 3 coathangers in the room, that's not really enough...

The hotel location was about 45 minutes from the central train station. We walked through the historical center, then the new town, and finally to the hotel in the middle of a quiet, residential neighborhood. A few streets away are a few streets with cafes, boutiques, and nightlife. I would classify it as the hipster part of town. If you like this sort of vibe, as we do, it's a great location. In terms of the hotel, it is part of a cultural complex that puts on drag queen shows. Therefore, our hotel rooms had a bit of flair: funky decor and colorful tiles in the bathrooms. Breakfast was perfect: a vast selection of cold cuts, fresh, warm bread, scrambled eggs and bacon, and some sweet breads. It definitely kept us going till dinner time.

There wasn't anything at this hotel that we complained about. We were completely satisfied.

Amazing room design. If you are tired of basic ikea furniture and hotel rooms that all are look alike, this hotel will positively surprise you. Besides, you can check-in any time as keys could be found in boxes outside of the hotel. Also the room was quite spacious comparing to other places we were staying in. Last, but not least, it was tidy and clean.
