Among the top 5 properties to consider for Dresden, and it mostly delivers nicely in a nice ambience. The Reception Team did very well to ensure we were looked after and received anything we asked for along the evening, very important when traveling with small children, often having to depend on the quick response of the hotel team for a smooth experience. - We tried out multiple top hotels across Europe over the holidays and the beds of the Palais were by far my wife's favorite out of them all in terms of comfort.

Taken into account this is a 5-Star Property: - We could feel the shortage in Staff, probably/hopefully due to the holidays (the ladies at the reception and the doorman were carrying out too many tasks, which is why we had no welcome arriving at the hotel and had to ask for the luggage and parking service after getting to the reception). - No Coffee or Tea making amenities in the room, but was offered once we asked for it. A general observation of the Hospitality level in Germany, 5-Star or 4-Star properties: Ever since the pandemic days, you cannot take any services for granted, and if you need additional services or amenities one needs to be mindful about actively asking.

Everything was perfect, the staff, beautiful and spacious rooms, beautiful view, location, perfect breakfast and a very kind and professional host. The other employees were also nice and there is not much to complain about. The hotel was not full, so it was completely quiet, which is the most important thing for me. I really appreciate that the room service does not disturb and leaves things to be refilled in the basket in front of the door.

If I had to find a fault, it would be an upgrade to the TV, but that doesn't change my rating.

Very service-oriented, friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed as soon as we approached the building. They greeted us outside and helped us unload our car, even parked for us. Rooms were spacious and spot clean. Breakfast was the best we ever had… and we know a lot of luxury hotels. During the day the restaurant was rather empty, as well as the bar at night, except there are events hosted.

Perfect in many aspects, pitty that the service and the personell at the lounge bar was totally unattending and unpolite. I had to wait over 10 minuts to be attended, and for my drink I did not get neither a servett or a plate. When I have asked where to dispose the cocktail pin, I only get a sarcastic smile. The menu at the restaurant, particularly the soup was rather ordinarie as well.

An excellent hotel with great and helpful staff. Location is great, there is a parking garage with chargers in the hotel building in the basement. Rooms were nice and quiet, service was excellent. Highly recommended!

There is a "smell" in the basement of the building..it persisted there during our stay. It did not extend to the hotel.

An exceptional hotel. Really beautifully run. Staff could not have been nicer and more helpful, and the room was fine.

I knew when I booked that the hotel was some distance from the old town of Dresden, and it was. It's easy to call a taxi to go TO the old town, but not so easy to get one for the trip back. So more walking back than I wanted. But I liked the hotel enough to use it again, even with this slight complication.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted you with a smiley. They were helpful & communicated well. Every staff member there made you feel comfortable. The location was great as you have easy access to the neustadt and aldstadt. The alstadt is just a 15 min walk over a beautiful bridge which was not a problem for me.

There are small lights on each of the light switches in the bedroom. If you're sensitive to light when you sleep, this can be a little distracting. There is also no coffee/tea or kettle in the bedroom which means you have to order tea or coffee from the hotel which costs extra money. It would be great to have a little hot drink station like you have in other hotels.

It was absolutely perfect, the hotel interior is stunning, the staff were kind and gnerous. They greeted us with warm drinks, valeted the car, and made sure we were well taken care of the entrire. It was a truly VIP first class experience. Breakfast and dinner were Michelin worthy.

Our stay was too short so I didnt get to try the spa, but it looked very inviting and soothing!

Clean and good facilities as well helpful and nice staff. Location is not exactly in city center, but walking distance (15mins) to main Christmas markets and having a small one few steps away from hotel. Traveled with kids and didn't feel that walking was too much.

Interior design is nice. Underground parking. Small fitness room. Decent SPA area.

The room I got didn’t match the description or the photo. The “large double bed” was queen size and wouldn’t have fit two people. There was no “armchair”. The room was small, definitely less than 26sq.m. (as per booking description). I hardly found space to put luggage. There were almost no vegan options for breakfast. The service staff offered me “artichoke salad” which had wurst in it.
