Bent Tree is a hometown owned hotel. I have been using them for decades. They changed managers several years ago and he didn't understand that the Bent Tree is about making things affordable and nice for the people of Emory's families when they come into town. Since they have switched managers they stopped trying to compete with the other hotel(which I wish wasn't there as they are terrible to work with)and settled into what they do best. The give you piece of Emory at a affordable price. It's always clean, easy to access, A/Cs work, bathrooms are clean. It is my go to when I visit family.

The only thing I would like to see is better showers. The water pressure was low(but this typically isn't a problem). Also a small upgrade in towels would be nice, but I also understand that many of the patrons of the bent tree are anglers and they misuse the towels making for them hard to clean or totally unusable afterwards. Other than those two very minor things I have zero issues with the Bent Tree.

Very clean. It surprised me. Furnitures in living room was a little dated but worked out just fine. It was well painted. Beds and carpet were very clean. The jacuzzi in the Family suite was amazing and can fit 2 people. The apartment was pretty big. Larger than you would expect in a motel. I really enjoyed our stay and will visit again. Very peaceful and quiet. Amazing place.

Couches in living room were dated but had very clean well kept cover that took care of it quite well.

It's nothing fancy, but for my occasional overnight stops in the area, it is the perfect place for me to stay. Always clean and comfortable. I travel for work so i usually dont get there till late afternoo/early evening. And i leave out early in the morning. The price not bad for no longer than I'm there. The staff is always friendly. The young man who checked me in this time especially so. I'll be back in the area in a couple of weeks and this is where I'll stay.

There wasn't anything I really didn't like.

Loved that they allow pets, offer local menu's and attractions in each room, clean, more private rooms, VERY kind staff.

The drive is rough, I drive a mid size SUV and had a hard time going in and out in a couple areas, def would not recommend for a small car or SUV, but definitely seems like it could be an easy fix on the owners part.

Super nice staff and very clean. Very quiet and conveniently located.

Definitely an older property that could use a few upgrades in the shower and window coverings. The shower nozzle was best installed for someone under 4’ tall. The blinds n the window offered no privacy and we could clearly see everything outside which would apply to the reverse.

This was a last minute trip to Canton. We stayed in Emory, TX because that was one of the only places left to stay on such short notice. We did not get it the motel until 10:45pm. The owner greatest us with smile and thanked us for staying there.

There isn’t anything I can think of that I didn’t like. It was very clean for an older motel.

This was my husband and I first time staying in Emory so we booked here at Bent Tree not knowing what to expect, but when we arrived which we arrived a little early and the room was not ready but Angela the manager was great and she made sure we were comfortable until our room was ready. She was willing to put us in another room just to relax and get out of the heat to wait. She was very accommodating with everything. Whenever we called about something she was there within 5 minutes and that was a shock to me and my husband due to our last experience with other places we have stayed. The location was perfect for what we went there for and we will definitely be going back to Bent Tree when we are in Emory. Angela made us feel very welcomed and that to me is a good feeling.

Price, cleanliness, staff, location

It wasn't a major problem, but every time I opened the door I could smell Marijuana coming from somewhere. Not my favorite smell, but I didn't smell it in my room. Only in the hallway. I

Very accommodating for a last minute booking. The room was very clean and close to our location for the next day. We cannot wait to stay with them again.

It's always very clean, convenient and staff very friendly. Have stayed there several times and no problems. Only place I will stay at if possible. If have a boat and need space, no problem.
