It is an old colonial property that has been renovated keeping its colonial ambiance with care and taste, converted into a hotel with fresh smelling rooms disposed around a bright courtyard, in such a way there is no street noise. From our room with a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom we were greeted every morning with the sight of the red rooftops of the city and its churches. The white walls of the hotel reflect the whiteness of the city, in the style of southern Spain and the Greek islands. Breakfast is ample and varied, wifi is excellent (over 25 Mbps), staff attentive and even the owner can be seen at times at breakfast. This is the hotel to stay in Sucre.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The property is stunning and we especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking nearby churches and rooftops. The reception staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. Breakfast was rich and varied too, especially the pastries section. Location is also unbeatable in the very heart of the city, just round the corner from the main plaza.

Keep in mind that this is an old, but well maintained building. The rooms are spacious, but rather rustic than modern. We enjoyed the character of the hotel though and overall felt very comfortable.

The staff was super-helpful both concerning the room and aspects of the hotel, and also tips on what to see in the town and where to eat, etc. The hotel itself was beautiful -- courtyard full of flowers, etc., roof patio with view of the mountains. Breakfast was more than satisfactory, and location was just fine -- an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. We were in Room #7 which was wonderful -- good size, nice little enclosed balcony.

I'm not sure there was anything we didn't like.

This is a lovely old colonial hotel with many original features and furniture. Although on a busy road it is very quiet once in the courtyard areas and in the rooms. There are many seating areas in the courtyards and a viewing point on the roof. We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had two large windows with views over the rooftops. The staff were very helpful, welcoming and informative. There was a buffet breakfast with a wide range of foods and eggs to order.

It's only a minor point but the large windows faced the afternoon sun making the room quite hot and it was really difficult to open any windows. They also allowed a lot of light pollution in at night despite the curtains..

Great setting in an old colonial townhouse, decent breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel manager was so kind to help us with changing our itinerary due to multiple road blocks linked to political protests. Much appreciated!

Took 30 minutes for the night guard to respond to us ringing the bell for our agreed upon early check in at 5 AM. In any case only a minor inconvenience and the great beds made up for it!

The hotel was little gem lovingly decorated in Spanish colonial style. It has a pleasant rooftop sitting area for drinks in the evening. Great location, within easy walking distance of the major attractions of Sucre. The desk staff member was extremely helpful and organized our travel to our next destination in Bolivia, Potosi.

There was quite a bit of street noise but that’s the price one pays for a central location.

I really liked the colonial style of the hotel. It had a lot of nice touches, including lovely antiques. The location was great...within close walking distance of almost everything that I wanted to see and do while in Sucre. The breakfasts exceeded my expectations with so many choices of food and beverages. There was fresh fruit and yogurt, fresh squeezed orange, and fresh made carrot juice, scrambled eggs with ham (you could request a boiled egg), homemade whole-wheat bread, many sweet things, such as orange cake, almond-carrot cake, apple pie, and lemon pie. I didn't find any of the desserts too sweet, which was important. The staff was very friendly and professional. I was sorry to leave after my 3 nights there.

The only thing I'm not giving a top rating on is the noise. Occasionally at night there were some loud noises outside, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel and the noises didn't last long.

Everything was perfect!

We loved the charm of this beautiful building and the location. The rooftop views were sensational and we enjoyed sitting up there when we needed time out to relax. The staff were very helpful and the manager in particular went out of his way to assist us in any way possible. We were also very fortunate that our room was ready when we arrived at 6.30am after an overnight bus from Uyuni. I expected to just leave our luggage but we were able to shower and use the room and were not charged extra for this. Would highly recommend.

There was nothing not to like.

We loved this beautiful property and especially enjoyed the light and view from our upper room! The inner courtyard is filled with plants and cozy places to relax. The breakfast was simply excellent- what a treat to have lemon and apple pies, cake and wholewheat fresh bread as well as the plentiful offerings of eggs, fruit, juices etc.
