Comfortable, clean modern hotel, foreigners welcome, English understood, helpful staff. Check in and out, easy. Food in restaurant was delicious (order Indian / Asian options). Good location, 8min walk to Maharaja Harishchandra Ghat and 25mins car to airport (at 7.45am, expect 1hr at peak times). Tour services efficient, arranged car for 4hrs with 30mins notice. Hotel is away from the alleyways and guesthouse scene. Suits tourists needing respite after a day wandering. Request a room away from the street with window (not all have a window). Breakfast 7-10.30am (small buffet with Indian focus, some continental items) Lunch 12.30-3pm and Dinner 7-11.30pm order from a menu.

No alcohol (it’s a holy city, but can be found nearby), pure veg a grind, no tissues in room, TV only a few English stations (LG channels). Noise from hallway from inconsiderate guests speaking loudly at times to guests across hallway, it echos. Once booked and confirmed, auto generated email from hotel requesting 50% deposit to be paid (non refundable?) otherwise booking not confirmed. Please remove this as it makes no sense when booking has been confirmed, on a ‘pay at property’ booking with a free cancellation option, using credit card as guarantee of a no show. We cancelled 3 times leading up to stay. Booked hotel in the street outside 10mins before check in, on the day of arrival.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Dolphin Grand. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. A few spoke good English and those who didn’t were able to pass the queries on to someone who could help. We found the hotel clean throughout and we had plenty of clean towels supplies each day. We had a complimentary room upgrade and enjoyed the extra space. The bed was comfortable and as we were at the rear of the hotel it was lovely and quiet at night. The location of the hotel is very good as you can reach the Ganges on foot in about 10 minutes. Assi Ghat in a Tuk Tuk was about 10 minutes or so and cost 200 INR. Airport transfers were very good value at 1,100 INR for a one hour drive. And laundry service was actually the best I’ve had in almost a month travelling around India.

We felt the food was pretty average. It’s all vegan so we found it lacking in choice. Soup both nights was fiery hot and salty and we couldn’t eat it. And we missed having eggs in the morning. Although not as luxurious as a lot of the hotels we stayed at around India this was one of the most expensive ones at over €400 for our two nights dinner, bed and breakfast. I do think it’s overpriced. Despite this I did enjoy my stay and I would recommend the hotel if it comes within budget.

Many positives including very clean property and rooms, excellent travel desk (thank you Rajesh), ideal location (walking distance from ghats and markets), friendly and helpful staff (thank you Shamshad especially). The restaurant is very good also, with a wide selection of Indian and Chinese cuisine

No complaints. Our stay here was more expensive than most of the other hotels we stayed in during our travels in India but I think this is proportionately reflected in the quality as it was also more comfortable and cleaner than most of the other hotels we stayed in

Clean and new hotel. Worth 4 star status. Dedicated staff especially the restaurant staff and front desk managers Sham Khan and Nancy. Amit sir and Govind from housekeeping. Everything is near within 2km for Kashi Vishwanath and Godolia crossing. Best laundry service 👌

Stayed at this place for 18 days and there was nothing I didn't like.

Decent room. Reasonable facilities. Good restaurant. Location within proximity to key attractions. Polite staff. Don't confuse with Dolphin International.

The cab booking service offered by the hotel reception. Seemed unfairly overpriced and less than totally transparent. Also, having originally booked a garden view room, we weren't allotted one upon arrival. I had to argue the case.

Very clean room with good shower and attentive staff. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast selection very interesting and tasty.

You can hear a little bit of the street noise, but around 11pm it quiets down

Breakfast arrangement was totally disorganised. Timings were 7:30 -10:30, but even till 8 am, the food was not ready.

I liked everything about the hotel, the services they provide, the staff, the food. It was excellent!

The staff was great. Room was spacious and clean.

The ACs did not work for sometime. but the staff was prompt in answering and looking after it. They changed our room immediately.
