On approaching the hotel for the first time, it is clearly a jewel of a location. It as very peaceful, and calming. The breakfast was excellent, and the evening meal was good, if a little pricey. The staff were very helpful, see point below. The black cat was quick to say hello. Fantastic area, lots to see and do.

The rooms are very small. The first one offered was only just a metre wider than the bed. No room for luggage, no chair, and very dark. We asked for a bigger room, and one as found that was bigger, but still small. It as a big comfortable bed in a small comfortable room. Wifi in our room did not work. We were on the top floor, but to advertise wifi in all bedrooms stretches the point. Wifi was fine in he public areas.

I enjoyed the breakfast very well, and the location was very peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfy and the room was clean. The spa and sauna when we went there was not busy which was good. I like the sitting area near the spa facing the creek and the green trees.

It would be good to have bigger space for the room.

The grounds were beautiful and the spa was a lovely feature. We were only there one night and the staff allowed us to use it beyond the stated hours which was so kind!

We slept with open windows to keep the room cool with no AC, but the windows had no screens so noticed many bugs fly in.

A lovely, friendly hotel. We stay as a stop off on the way to Calais. This time the weather was not kind, but it is a beautiful spot to sit by the river and relax after a long drive. The rooms are small, as you may expect from an old Templar mill, but very comfortable and clean.

The location, the food

I can only suggest as improvement - to offer also different type of cushions - as the place is already kids friendly to also include a kids menu

Excellent location in an old mill. Breakfast had a lot of home made cakes which were not gluten free. The croissants were very nice, but not gluten free. The gardens and immediate vicinity were very photogenic. An excellent shower. Friendly staff.

No a la carte evening meal options. Being gluten intolerant having only three menu options - vegetarian, fish (trout), or meat (with gluten containing Tagliatelle) is no real choice. We had to hunt in the nearest town for an open restaurant, finally eating at a Tibetan restaurant/Take Away.

Location and service was exceptional, really friendly staff. It’s a little bit of paradise in the middle of the bourgogne countryside. Complementary SPA was a big plus and very relaxing:)

Oy thing is wifi was weak; but not at all important if you’re there for relaxing and traveling around towns during the day. Everything else was lovely!

The SPA zone is comfortable and relaxing. Emmanuel was very welcoming, he prepared for us a plate of cheese, cold meats and bread. His doggy Tessa is adorable.

Perfect location next to very peaceful river, perfect for walks in the forest. Amazing spa complex right on the rivers edge - but note you have to book a time slot in advance. Breakfast buffet was delicious.

Parking is across the road and we were on second floor so be aware if you have heavy bags that you’ll need to carry them.

Wow! One of the best stays I've had on Booking.Com and I've been through plenty. The hotel is situated on an old water mill, but the stream stilll flows and makes a pleasurable and tranquil environment to relax. And the spa area is so relaxing and you get to book a slot so can enjoy in comfort. The breakfast was also fabulous. Truly recommend this hotel.
