I had the most incredible experience staying at À la Renommée Hotel in France. From day one, Laurence and Stéphanie, the lovely owners, made me feel so welcome and were incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The view from my room was absolutely stunning, and the bedroom itself was cozy and beautifully decorated. I truly felt at home throughout my stay. It’s also worth noting that the hotel is only a 30-minute walk to Vézelay, with breathtaking views along the way, following the pilgrim’s path. It’s a lovely and peaceful walk. A big thank you to Laurence and Stéphanie for making my visit so special. Also, I have to mention that the wine, honey, and fresh truffle they sell are absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a charming, welcoming, and peaceful getaway. Very good spacious room, pleasant peaceful terrace, lovely hosts.

The room would benefit from a kettle for tea/coffee. Beware if staying on a Sunday, bring your own dinner as you are unlikely to find a restaurant in the vicinity which is open and not fully booked.

Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful as was the cleaning lady.

Its quite old building so everything was just basic The mattress and pillows were quite old and extremely uncomfortable , we couldn’t sleep the whole night Bathroom lights were not working The hair dryer emitted smoke while using it for few seconds only so was quite dangerous!

Good location near Vézelay. Two decent restaurants close by. Secure gated parking. Very pleasant and helpful owner who we had a friendly chat with over coffee the next morning.

It felt soulless and impersonal. Hotel is a self contained unit managed from bar across road. Our room although quite large was bare of furniture (2 upright chairs and small table). Tiled floor. If there was anything on the walls I didn’t notice. Sheets and blankets.

The rooms are big, fresh despite the very hot weather and there is a big parking place, reserved to the hotel. The reception is in the bar on the other side of the road.

Breakfast was very so-so, with low quality frozen bread, and very limited choice of everything.
