Communication with the host was prompt and clear. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and were given all the information we needed. Dominique, the host, was genuinely friendly. He answered any queries and did everything to make sure that we and other guests were comfortable. The accommodation has a quirky, old-world charm and is in a quiet location close to Grandcamp-Maisy. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Our room was spacious, airy and had a rustic charm. The continental breakfast was excellent! Fresh bread and pastries were provided, as were ham, cheese, a selection of jams, yoghurt, fruit juice and coffee, tea or hot chocolate. All very tasty!

The Wifi signal in our bedroom could have been stronger.

I highly rated our experience at La Faisanderie although we ended up staying at another place. Following a reservation system snafu, our room ended up being double booked. Our host was very up front about it and had the situation resolved before we got there and had found us another place to stay which was wonderful and although more expensive we were not charged the difference. As for La Faisanderie we only got to see the outside and the main room inside, it looks absolutely lovely. How some one solves a problem for a client is very telling of the level of service one can expect and this unfortunate situation was brilliantly and smoothly solved.

Our host Dominique and his furry friend Elliott were absolutely fantastic. We felt so welcome right from the start and Dominique was very accommodating on the arrival/check out time. The room was perfect for my partner and I and our two cats. It had a rustic charm to it and we were absolutely in love with the building, in particular the fireplace. Not to mention the bed, so comfortable. Dominique provided a vegetarian and vegan breakfast for us with plenty of choices, which was delicious. We were very grateful for such a lovely host that went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome. Thank you Dominique and Elliott!

Lovely warm welcome from the host. We loved the authentic french countryside charm the place had. Our room was comfortable, clean and boasted beautiful furniture and wooden beam ceilings. Had the most peaceful sleep and so did the children, they did not want to get out of bed. The breakfast provided was perfect to the start the day with a selection on bread,meat,pastries and cereals. It had a homely feel and the grounds were stunning.

Everything. The house in the middle of the countryside was beautiful with parking in front of it. Nice vintage furniture. Good cleaning. The bedroom was stunning, huge with big windows and comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with modern fixtures and big shower. No noises at all, the real rural peace. We had breakfast in the cozy vintage living room and food was good. The host Dominique is kind and careful to guests' needs.

If you want to experience a truly authentic French atmosphere, this is a perfect choice for your stay. The location is stunning, surrounded by horses and beautiful scenery. The rooms are very clean and full of character — you can really feel that charming French touch. Breakfast was delicious, and everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommended!

The house sits in a peaceful and beautiful location. Rooms are large and well appointed. The beds are very comfy. The property is very old - expect quirkiness and the occasional creak - but you are rewarded with beamed ceilings and lovely surroundings. Dominique, the owner, is absolutely charming, as was his daughter, and they can't do enough for you. We were only sorry to only have time to spend one night there!

La Faisanderie is quaint and absolutely beautiful! The home is 220 years old and well cared for. We were traveling with our adult son, so we stayed in the two room suite. Very comfortable! Dominique, the owner and host was fantastic! Although he didn’t speak English very well, nor did we speak French, but our Translate app worked fantastic! Our breakfasts were were so good, and a perfect way to start our day! we stayed two nights as we explored Normandie and then headed to Paris. We wished we had stayed a third night and only one night in Paris. 

we loved everything about this property and would recommend it and stay again! 

This was a beautiful house and location. We loved everything about this experience. The owner was extremely kind and made us feel at home. Even though my French is very limited and his English was pretty limited we managed to communicate just fine and he gave us some good suggestions for places to visit in the area. Breakfast was very good as well with croissants, bread, jam, coffee, orange juice, ham and cheese. I can't say enough about how welcome we felt and how enjoyable our visit was.

Far better than i expected, a lovely old chateau with in its own grounds and massive bedroom. i felt quite privileged to be able to stay here to be honest. the host were extremely friendly and spoke little English but we all managed to communicate very well. The continental breakfast was excellent. we had a full run of the chateau with all its rooms. I would go back in a shot so would strongly recommend a stay here.
