The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the very beginning. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide selection served à la carte, all freshly prepared and delicious. The location is perfect to explore Ragusa, and the atmosphere of the historic building made our stay feel truly special. It was such a memorable experience that we felt a little sad to leave. Ad 1768 Boutique in Ragusa Ibla is truly a gem. As a female solo traveler, I felt completely safe and well taken care of—from seamless transportation arrangements to thoughtful daily assistance. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Breakfast was a standout—carefully prepared and distinct, reflecting the unique touch of their restaurant. The room I stayed in was dedicated to the owner’s grandmother, which added a deeply personal and emotional layer to my experience. It wasn’t just a place to sleep—it had a soul. The space itself was beautifully comfortable, and the owner welcomed me with her whole heart. I’ll never forget the genuine hospitality I received here. This is a place that stays with you.

I especially loved the Sicilian Ortigia products, which added a luxurious and authentic flair. I also appreciated the owner’s videos showing the building before and during renovation, offering a unique glimpse into its history and transformation. A truly memorable and well-curated stay! An unforgettable stay in a truly exceptional place. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was no ordinary hotel. The location is simply perfect—peaceful yet central, offering easy access to everything while feeling like a hidden gem. We stayed in the room with the original ceiling fresco, and it was nothing short of magical. The attention to detail, the atmosphere, and the sheer beauty of the space made it the most memorable hotel experience we've ever had. The building itself is breathtaking—full of character, history, and charm. Breakfast was a real highlight: beautifully prepared using only local ingredients, and absolutely delicious. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—genuinely kind, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. We’re already looking forward to returning. This place is something truly special.

We couldn’t find a single fault—everything was perfect.

The friendliness yet professionalism of the staff was exceptional. Customer service is at the forefront and they looked after their guests so well from arrival to departure. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared offering a variety of food and catering for food intolerances. The front of house staff (Elisabetta I do believe) went over and above to make our stay comfortable and memorable. She greeted us, helped with luggage as did other lovely staff, and assisted us with finding a street parking spot (very difficult to find in Ragusa). Our suite was more than comfortable and we thought the dedication to the owner’s grandfather was a very special touch. What a lovely acknowledgment of his dedication and love of his family. There was a large and thoughtfully decorated living room for guests. The hotel was close to the lower Ragusa with plenty of restaurants. Thank you AD1768 for a memorable stay.

An ancient historic house that has been stylishly and elegantly renovated (think Milan comes to Sicily) by the feisty Sicilian owner, Josefina. Simply gorgeous rooms and shared spaces. Comfortable and clean rooms/beds/bathrooms. The Ibla is small, and the hotel is ideally situated for walking, which is all you really want to do here, as driving is not advised. If you are driving, pay attention to the detailed instructions they send regarding ZTL and parking. If you can schlep your bags instead of driving up to the hotel, I would recommend it. I do not recommend driving up. Very lovely and attentive staff. The owner was also present during our stay, overseeing service of the delicious (if somewhat fussy) breakfast. Must have the eggs Josefina! The space and the staff make you feel elegant!

Don't drive up to the hotel if you can at all avoid it. Park first if possible.

We stayed at this charming little hotel for one night and can wholeheartedly recommend it. From the beautiful inner courtyard, an elevator takes you up to the lovingly renovated and very spacious rooms, each with a balcony. The location is perfect for exploring Ragusa on foot. The staff was extremely professional and genuinely friendly. Breakfast was excellent, and the lovely lady hosting it brightened our morning with her warm smile and detailed explanations of the Sicilian specialties. We would come back anytime. Very well located near the Duomo in Ragusa. Our room had a beautiful view over the main Square. Nice breakfast, friendly staff who helped make dinner reservations and transportation plans.

We had more comfy beds elsewhere in Sicily. The property has a large internal courtyard where we had expected to meet our tour guide/driver, but it’s off limits to non-guests so we met them in the street or Square. No big deal, just felt a little stand-offish to the locals.

The location is ideal, youre in the heart of the charmin old town - staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms are bright with huge bathroom, super clean and quiet during the night - the church in front you’ll obviously hear in the morning :D Á la carte breakfast is very nice and also the design of the entrance - all very lovely

Be sure to arrive before 5pm as parking is difficult - there are public spaces close by but its a tiny old town with narrow streets and you will be stressed out parking the car

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The staff is absolutely the friendliest I've met in a long time. The breakfast was delicious and they had well thought out options, lots of local and organic foods. I was impressed how well organized everything was, for example when we returned from breakfast our room was already cleaned, that was consistent throughout our stay. We've stayed in several more expensive brand hotels around the world and never experienced anything like this. I would stay at this hotel again.

Parking is a bit tricky, would be awesome to have dedicated parking spaces near the hotel.
