* The power at one of the beds didn't work. A slight hassle since I couldn't charge my phone next to me. * even though there are signs everywhere about NO SMOKING. People smoked all the time. Skunkweed coming into our room for an hour solid wasn't enjoyable. And cigarette smoke. Both the people next to us and below us smoked a lot. I get sick from the smell. Plus, I caught a cold, and that made it twice as bad. But this isn't the fault of the hotel. * kind of weak shower heads. My husband said it was fine, so maybe I'm picky?

The kitchen is a quite sad. Very dark. A bit of vivid color on the wall would change completely the atmosphere. Now it look like a school's canteen. Or if you tare down the wall where there is the entry door, you would gain so much light. It would be another option but much more expensive than just put some bright color or only white to gain light and then some photos or painting.

The hotel is indeed pet friendly. There is a dog wash for sandy doggy feet, and plenty of area for dogs to do their business that's NOT on the beach.

I have been to other pet friendly hotels (e.g. in Canon Beach) where they actually provide extra services for the dogs. Like a dog dish, a cover sheet for the bed (everybody who travels with their pet probably allows their dog on the bed), dog treats, and dog towels for after swimming and getting wet on the beach.

Very friendly staff, great location to start exploring Redwoods and Samuel H. Boardman Corridor.

Wifi is really bad and to be honest, there is actually no WiFi at all. Balcony is super tiny and not even worth to call it a balcony. Beds were on the wrong side in the room so there was just a partial ocean view from there, even the room faces the ocean. Pool wasn’t clean, there was a ton of dirt/sand on the ground.

The view is exceptional. Especially if you stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor on the right side when you come into the parking lot! Wonderful staff and very close to the ocean. One of my favorite places to go!

I prefer the 2nd and 3rd floors on the right side. We've stayed on the 1st and people would walk by the balcony. Much less private in my opinion. The matresses, unfortunately, are horrible.

The staff was amazing, very professional and kind, and happy to assist customers. The check-in (and out) process was a breeze, and the room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful ocean view. The pool and hot tub were great after a long day out! The laundry facilities onsite came in handy, and the breakfast each morning offered a wide selection of choices for all to enjoy!

The room was huge; probably built in the seventies, but immaculate. With direct west facing balconies the sunset was beautiful. I was surprised by a decent free breakfast (which wasn’t listed in the hotels description on Booking). The hotel staff I encountered were excellent, including the front desk person and the friendly breakfast room attendant. Over all a blissful stay!

Clean, staff was helpful, price was good and I felt my vehicle and belongings were safe. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the waffles. Could see the ocean from our second floor room. We booked our room in the parking lot during a rainstorm and had no issues. Access to rooms is from exterior only and stairs only for the upper floors. Photos in the review were from the balcony of our room.

That I stayed a night in Astoria, Oregon before finding this place. We could hear the people on the 3rd floor walking around but was it faint and really didn’t bother us.

The breakfast was fantastic! The location is perfect.

Need to have 2 chairs in room so one person doesn’t have to sit on the bed. For this amount of money, you need a safe in the room. Our tub/shower wasn’t completely cleaned. A used bar of soap was left in the soap dish and an empty plastic cup on the tub rim.

The hotel is well situated, but the lack of elevator could be a problem. The room is clean, the ocean view is perfect. This hotel is very good for a night in this town. Would choose the same if I come back. The people at the front desk is very kind and give you good advices where to eat at a good restaurant.

The access to the third floor without an elevator could be a problem for some people. Otherwise the property is very clean and quiet, you will have a very good night. If you decide to sleep...
