Excellent hotel very spacious rooms toilets very clean loved our stay comfortable beds , only issue was staff should be trained to give a better service , check in took so long more than half hr no one knew how to process kept asking and passing our documents person to another , food was good beautiful hotel highly recommend this to anyone

Staff service , no good morning , when at breakfast each time have to ask them to clear the plates not proactively they do , mgmt should train the staff

I recently stayed at Amaya and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with refreshing drinks and warm smiles. Thanks Sanjay. 😀 Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered breathtaking views of the beach. The attention to detail was impressive, from the luxurious The food was delicious, with a great mix of local and international dishes. We especially loved the seafood and the romantic beachside dining options. The pool area was serene, and the beach was clean and perfect for swimming or relaxing under the palm trees.

I don’t recommend massage- really bad Gym is too small- machine in Chinese language “Outside” I don’t recommend snuggling - prices is too high and they are cheating on the price

This resort is a large resort with modern architecture. We had a great family room which is very large and had beautiful ocean views. It was our daughters birthday while there and they did a great job of decorating the room and had a cake for her which was wonderful.

The pool was murky on the days we were there and the beach out the front has a lot of coral. There are not enough deck chairs around the pool but you can get one in the grassed tree areas. The staff do not clear away used towels and drinks once seats are vacated.

The food was amazing - so much variety and all very tasty. The staff were also amazing - super friendly and the service at the restaurant was amazing. The rooms were very spacious and the pool area/lawn was very well maintained. Being right on the beach was really nice too.

Everything was great - just to take note that the pool is very shallow (max depth of 1.35m) and the beach has a lot of rocks so it’s difficult to swim there.

The staff were really friendly including the manager, we got a free upgrade which we were really greatful for, beautiful location right by the beach. It was really quiet when we were here which we liked but I’m not sure what it would be like in main season.

There was a wedding on our last night which was really noisy and unfortunately we wasn’t informed until after the band had started. I did speak to the manager who was apologetic and offered us another room and the music was off by 10.15pm.

The location was great. This is our second visit within 6 months. We love the resort and the people who work there. Very friendly staff. Some of them went above and beyond- Lojanan and Suthagaran in house keeping; Reynold Gajandran and Sangeethan at valet and Lojan in the dining room. These hopper and the omelette chefs were amazing too. Sorry did not get their names.

My room could have been a little closer to the front lobby. Now I know the layout I will request it next time.

Family suite for 4 people is ideally located. The hotel territory has gorgeous panoramic views. Good cuisine, the whole family was satisfied. Good selection of alcohol. There are many corals on the shore. Good hotel for those who want to see this part of the island. The price of the hotel corresponds to what we got.

The pool is great, but half of its area is 80 cm deep. High commission when paying in dollars (about 5%), it is better to pay in local currency. We traveled around the island for several weeks with a personal driver, he rated his accommodation as poor (I did not see it myself).

For a pocket of luxury, Amaya Beach was a serene dream. The breakfast buffet was vast, catering to different nationalities. We particularly liked the hopper station and egg station all cooked to order, with kotta and other sambals to add. The pool was relaxed but a little hot like a bath. This cooled after a storm and was much more refreshing (yet still really warm!). The Honey Beach Bar provided more affordable meals if you're on B&B. The evening buffet wasn't worth it - costly and lacked any standout dish or ingredient. Note there aren't restaurants to choose from in the area - just those of the big hotels in the bay. We found the all inclusive guests a little rowdy and disrespectful of the space, staff and other guests.

Amazing staff, facilities, and breakfast. I sprained my leg on my way to Passikudah. The staff and managers came to check on me and gave me a wheelchair to use in the hotel. This made the stay and pain bearable. Breakfast was to die for. Thank you. I hope to come again when in Sri Lanka.

We came late for check-in at 10 and I had informed the hotel. It would have been nice to have a sea view room as there were lots of rooms available.. however, we were given a courtyard view room and I was too tired to ask for a room change at that point. Brand loyalty is important and this would have enhanced the entire experience and ensured brand loyalty.

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home — so much so that we were genuinely sad to leave. The staff were incredibly warm, respectful, and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere right from the entrance. The check-in process was seamless, and our room was ready immediately. My wife and I were there to celebrate our anniversary, and upon entering our room, we were delighted to find a beautifully decorated bed and a delicious chocolate cake waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture. We were given a spacious balcony room with a stunning sea view. They had fast Wi-Fi everywhere. The location itself is absolutely breathtaking. The resort has its own private beach, which is calm, well-maintained, and exceptionally clean — a perfect place to relax and unwind. When it comes to food and drinks, I’m honestly speechless. The buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, and everything we tried was full of flavor. Their cocktails and other beverages are also a must-try — expertly made and refreshing. One standout moment was during tea time when my wife had a craving for ros pan and dhal curry. We casually asked if it might be possible, and to our surprise, within 15 minutes, freshly baked ros pan and a warm dish of dhal curry were brought to our room. As a Sri Lankan, I can say without exaggeration that it was the best ros pan and dhal curry I have ever tasted. Another remarkable experience happened during the dinner buffet. I was at the grill section and noticed they only had pork sausages. Since I don’t eat pork, I asked if they had any chicken sausages. At the time, they didn’t — so I simply moved on. But to my amazement, a little while later, the chef personally came over with a dish full of freshly prepared chicken sausages just for me. That level of attention and care is truly rare. The hospitality at Amaya Beach is beyond commendable. Thanks everyone at Amaya beach.
