A lovely, quiet room in a relaxing, thoughtful atmosphere, away from the rush and bustle of everyday life. We immediately felt totally at home there. Our room was spotless, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped bathroom, and the restaurant was excellent. Don't hesitate about eating there - the food was first-class, and the prices perfectly reasonable. A special mention goes to the restaurant staff, who were attentive, knowledgeable and fun. Breakfast was a help-yourself buffet in the German style, with rolls, cold meats, cheeses and sweet options as well. Excellent all round, ideal for a retreat from modern life... We enjoyed every minute, and have added the hotel to our list of best addresses.

The only thing I can think of is something which you'll find in every hotel room in the UK and often in Belgium, but rarely in Germany or France - a kettle, some tea and coffee and a couple of mugs. Add those and I'll be lost to find anything to do more!

It is an excellent accommodation to have a quiet and relaxing stay-over in an unusual setting. The accommodation is very well-maintained and has in imposing atmosphere. The wooden bed is simple, with an excellent mattress which gave us a relaxing sleep. The room is simply furnished, although well-functional and large. The bathroom is also simple, but functional and clean. The restaurant seems to be popular among those living in the neighborhood and nearby cities, especially its beer garden when sunny and warm. The large garden is inviting for a calm walk. The accommodation operates with a minumum of personnel, which gives a calm atmosphere.

The automated check-in was very easy and straightforward. We found our room easily, it was large, with two comfy beds and a tidy bathroom. The view over the monastery garden and courtyard was very nice. Inside the public spaces it is obvious that this is still a functioning monetary (you could -just- hear the monks singing at set times). Breakfast was basic but good. The people who helped us during our stay were very friendly.

We had a cot for our 1 year old, but there was a slight issue: if we had the cot away from the two adult beds, it was near the entrance and the room entrance was lit by a light on a movement sensor. This didn't work for us at all, so we had to move the cot to the other side of the room where it didn't really fit very well. Also, the restaurant was not open, but the pizzeria's in the nearby town were good and very cheap.

Really calm! I enjoyed staying in a still active Monastery. Parking is really easy, breakfast is nice too! Very clean room with space. From the Kloster, there is a nice walking (can perfectly be done by bicycle) into the woods until the river. I will come back :)

Roomy, comfortable, near perfect. At night the grounds and building give a delightfully moody vibe. And oh dang the breakfast and coffee are excellent, especially for Americans who need a comforting break.

The property is a bit old. You might like it though, really individual.

Breakfast was great and so were the staff. It was a beautiful place! The grounds were amazing. We loved the bells going off at 6:30 am and other times. Hearing the monks sing was lifting. Highly recommend a visit.

The TV and WIFI were not to great.
