Location As a port town, there are plenty of roadside parking spaces available. It's close to beautiful scenic spots, and you can easily drive to the beach to watch the sunset. Getting to Dublin by boat is also convenient, with the pier just a few minutes away. Service Although the hotel doesn’t operate 24 hours, assistance is provided promptly when needed. There was a reminder to book a restaurant in advance, but unfortunately, I didn't make a reservation and had to settle for fast food—which wasn't ideal as I prefer to avoid too much fried food. Experience The room had a friendly atmosphere, though I didn’t engage much with others due to being more introverted. The environment was clean, and the stairs were minimal—anyone with average physical strength should have no difficulty getting around.
Some aspects, such as the door locks, could benefit from updates. I understand the need to manage operational costs, but the current locks are somewhat inconvenient and don’t offer a strong sense of security. I hope the hotel continues to do well in business and can gradually improve its facilities.

Good location. Very clean room, adequate size, hot shower, comfortable bed. Dog was welcome too. We had a nice stay, despite the terrible weather! Thank you for having us.
The booking.com listing from the search page stated that 'pets were included in the price'. When I enquired about bringing the dog, we were informed that there would be an additional £10 charge. This was not a problem, and I was happy to pay for the dog, it was just unexpected. Perhaps this could be amended with booking.com to avoid confusion for others going forwards?

Sea view from my room Bed very comfy Self check-in made it easy and quick to get sorted Shared bathroom was very nice Kettle in room Location great so close to beach and boathouse pub
Room could be made more spacious by removing the wardrobe. Maybe just a short rail instead. Real milk for tea would be nice instead of the little cartons Probably don't need the complimentary cotton wool, shower cap, cotton buds. This would also make more space for own toiletries on the shelf

A simple and convenient b&b. Host messaged us prior to our stay with instructions on how to enter the building and room. She was contactable and eager to help with any queries. There is some parking on site but ample parking on the quiet street. Location is great on a hill overlooking the bay. Self service breakfast makes for a convenient quick bite before heading out for the day . Rooms were lovely and clean, with comfortable beds. Perfect location to use as a base. Good value for money.

The cleanliness of the shared bathroom was spotless! I loved the fact there was ample storage and space in a small room, the tea facilities were great and a nice selection, the room even had a small sink which i found a massive bonus. When i discovered a horrid smell in the hallway contacted the owner and it was resolved very quickly. Loved the idea of a honesty breakfast service but it unfortunately was not practical as i found out.
It's not really a negative however, I decided on breakfast last minute there were no staff onsite that were able to have replenished the food or milk cartons, in the morning which seemed to disappear over night!

The location is perfect, beds very comfortable and a good size family room. This is our first b&b stay so was pleased. The owner although not on site is only a call/text away and replies very quickly.
It's an old property se creaky and no matter how the guests try, you can hear moving. Same goes for when the bathroom fan goes on. The access to the toilet is a bit tight so I have recommended to remove the bedside cabinet on that side.

Everything was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great shower. There was tea, coffee, milk and a kettle in the room which was a nice luxury. All amenities were thought of. I was so happy to find that there was a help yourself breakfast. This meant we could eat whenever we wanted. There was French press coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, and juice. A great way to start the day. It was also possible to use their dishes and microwave if you wanted something to eat in the evening. That was very thoughtful. And there were some games to play. I liked that. It was nice being out of "downtown" and near to the sea in a very quiet location. Our host Claire, let us store 2 large bags while we took the train to Scotland which was very helpful. We had excellent communication. She provided lots of very useful information about our stay and the area.

Staff was not on site when I arrived, but explicit directions that were easy to follow were left so that I could successfully gain access to my room. The owner was easily available by phone. Her recommendations for places to eat were excellent. I had meals at 2 of them. The location of the B&B was perfect. I was able to arrive and depart on foot from the train station with luggage. I also enjoyed an incredible adventure walking through a nearby parkland.
The only thing I didn’t like was the room smelled a little dank

The views from the bedroom and bathroom were amazing. The room was small but adequate, the room was very clean which we liked and would naturally expect. The bedding was comfortable, extra blanket and electric heater was readily available.
The single bed heard board was banging against the wall, whilst we appreciate it’s a bnb, no one was available to help with our bag and we were on the top floor. Parking was a slight issue, shame there was no allocated parking. All in all our stay was good.

Chose the B&B due to the location to the Stena line ferry port. We had an early morning ferry crossing booked. Perfect location for our trip. The room had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
The rainfall shower. It’s a personal choice and probably wouldn’t be an issue for others but I’d had my hair done for a wedding we are attending in Ireland. Due to the size of the shower, I couldn’t escape the flow of water and found it really difficult to stop my fair getting wet.
