The hotel is very pleasant although a little dated. The location is convienent for visiting Angelsey Race track. The food is excellent especially the breakfast which is hot and cooked to order rather than luke warm from a buffet like you get in more up market hotels.
No lift and awkward stairs. Long walk around the hotel from carpark to hotel enterances, the garden door which is closest to the carpark is always closed, the other two doors are open at different times. Hotel like Angelsey in general is a little pricy, if it wasn't for the race track I wouldn't bother crossing the Menai Straits as Snowdonia on the other side is much more beautiful.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, couldn't do enough for you. The food in the bar was delicious and really reasonable. You even get 25% off for being a resident but we didn't see the voucher in our rooms as we ate before dropping off luggage. Perfect location for using the port for ferries to Ireland. Children's play area in the garden is a lovely addition. Would definitely come back next time we travel over there.
We stayed here in a family room the night before catching a ferry from Holyhead port and again on our return journey. The first night we were in a room with a bunk bed and a double. Whilst it was clearly clean it did feel a little dingy. However the second night we were in a different room (double bed, with separate bedroom containing 2 singles) and this one was absolutely fine. This wouldn't put me off booking again as I couldn't fault anything else however I would request one of the rooms with single beds rather than bunks. The bar was busy on both occasions which speaks volumes for the hotel as a whole.

Great hotel, Comfortable room serviced daily.
Only problems we had came from the kitchen. Limited breakfast options, slow to replenish, on different days there were no coffee, no hot water for tea, missing cereals and on the last day of our stay Bfast was undercooked. Raw bacon and sausage…. We ate in the restaurant twice, over cooked belly pork, under cooked (raw) pizza base, dry hunters chicken. If it wasn’t for these problems we’d have given this hotel a 10 out of 10

I liked the fact that the breakfast was included - one less thing to worry about in a new place. It also helped that the meals were tasty and generous. The room was spacious enough, everything was clean and smelled nice (and that includes the bathroom). The staff were friendly and helpful if needed. Another bonus was the pub/restaurant downstairs which made our meals completely stress free after all day of sightseeing and hiking.
There's nothing i didn't like.

I was impressed with the staff who were all very pleasant and helpful. I also thought the breakfast was very good. It included the option of a full Welsh breakfast, but there was also fruit, cereals, pasties, toast, yoghurt etc. Since Valley is a small village with only one other pub, it's not surprising that many guests opt to have dinner at the hotel - and this was also done well, with an attractive menu including starters, main dishes and several "lighter bite" options.
I was quite happy with my room even though the window was "painted over" so you couldn't see outside. It was also not possible to open the window - which meant you couldn't get any fresh air. It was a little noisy in that you could hear other guests walking down the passageway, shutting doors etc. This didn't particularly bother me - but it was quite noticeable. The lighting in the room could be improved.

The Staff were extremely friendly. I was late for breakfast and they offered me coffee and food to take with me. It was just me and my Dachshund "Donnie". All the staff were brilliant. The young lad with yellow hair and the other girl that were around at breakfast time were so friendly and professional. I spoke to the room cleaner too. I didn't know it was 10.30 check out (my fault) and she told me not to worry and don't rush. An unsung hero of the staff. Anyway, next time i drop someone off at Holyhead, then I'll come to stay for the night with my sausage dog, before I set off back. Thanks again all the staff at "Valley hotel". I wish you all the best for the future. Dan and Donnie from Burnley, Lancashire.
I didn't like not being able to stay there for longer. It was such a laid back, nice break, even though it was just one night.

9 year old..."I liked the room and the food". 11 year old..."everything was alright". 44 year old...the hotel is in a great location for exploring locally however I wasn't expecting it to be so close to the main road. The room was clean and the staff were lovely and helpful but if I had one criticism it has to be the carpet through the hall stairs and landing. It's stained and it smells so it give a bad impression when you first walk in which is a shame because the hotel itself isn't dirty. The staff were very nice and approachable so it's only a minor flaw but I'd definitely say the owners should invest in new carpet because it kind of lets the place down X
Ah I should have seen this box when I ranted in the box above. Haha

Happy with the hotel, it had everything I needed as a solo traveler with my two dogs. I got a single room which was great value for money. I didn't eat on site but the smell of food was good. All staff I met were really friendly and accommodating. I have no complaints. I would defo stay again if I was in the area.
Nothing, hotel provided what I needed and was great value for money and in a good location, ideal for me to get to my location early in the morning

Nice , modern and clean room. Great location 5 mins to Trearddur and 15mins to Rhosneigr where we was casting and lovely beach and coastal walk 1.5 miles away in Penrhos with our cocker spaniel whom was also welcome at the Valley hotel . Decent breakfast in the morning included in the price. Value for money was amazing
Only one negative was the noise transfer between rooms especially with hot water pipes when people was getting showers etc but this had little impact on our stay

I liked your local cider & price is £3 which is reasonable. Selection of drinks are great too.
Bar should be open before 12 . Price of food in hotel is too expensive . Same food cost less elswehere. I would reduce food price & this way guests would spend more money. With high food prices your guests will go elsewhere. Other than than everything is spot on .
