The host was very thorough with helpful information about the hotel on arrival, they also sent details of how to find the hotel with recommended postcode for SatNav. Excellent breakfast. Excellent shower, good size TV and pleasant, good size room. Useful plug sockets by the bed, good WiFi.

The only problem was the double bed, it was difficult for one of us to get in or out, or turn over, without the other being bounced about. Particularly annoying if you were trying to get to sleep. The wash basin was too small to wash in, only really big enough for washing hands. Another hanger or two wouldn't go amiss. These aren't deal breakers, just saying.

The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful from the time we arrived until we left.. Our room was a budget room and it would be difficult to mark beyond good , but it was more than adequate and clean.. All the meals were excellent and the breakfast has to be seen to be believed. There is a varied menu for the eviening meal and the cooking is exceptional. While I would recommend the pies I would also recommend everything else. The hotel is located in the centre of Amlwch and is only a short distance from some of the most beautiful coastline anywhere.

The hotel staff on reception, bar and restaurant were all so friendly and welcoming. The food was good, we ate at the restaurant that night and we were both really pleased with our choices. Big portions and very good value.

The only thing that was a problem was how hot our room was…granted it was an exceptionally hot day & night… I don’t think that there was adequate ventilation due to the outside area being covered with a corrugated plastic roof which severely compromised fresh air reaching the window. We left the fan on the majority of the night but to no avail.

Breakfast was very good - freshly cooked and tasty . We arrived on the Sunday - the only day they don’t serve evening meals due to the busy carvery they have at lunch time. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful - they told us where we could get a take away in the village and allowed us to bring it back to the bar - and provided plates and cutlery . The rest of the week we ate at the hotel and the food was excellent- pub type food but plenty of choice.

Amlwych is showing the sign of the times - with nothing really to do there- so transport is needed to go further afield. But Anglesey is a lovely island and there are many beautiful places to see

We stayed over one night for our trip to north Anglesey, with our little dog, staff were brilliant, and room was excellent value for money. Location wise, it was 10 mins drive to the beach, easily accessible and there were a number of dog friendly pubs and cafes nearby.

The room wasn't bad. However, it was a bit dusty. When stepping the beds to leave, we found the duvet had stains on it. Also, the room had a sash window and a small window box that our dog could have gotten up to and perhaps fell or jumped out of, so we could only open it slightly.

The property was clean and welcoming. The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic all freshly prepared. The water for the cups of tea was really hot which made a brilliant brew to go with breakfast. Nice chatting to locals in the bar. Everyone was friendly. The evening meals were brilliant and my partner is still thinking about the steak and ale pie he had and wanting it again. Brilliant parking and we will be coming back

Nothing to dislike

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the last 2 years, and it never fails to disappoint. It is clean, warm, and full of character and history. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. They are brilliant with welcoming dogs. The bar is well stocked and the food is fantastic, especially the cooked breakfast. Veronica and Gary are the perfect hostess and host. We have booked another 3 visits this year. The location is perfect 👌. All I can say is pay them a visit and see for yourself you won't be disappointed a hidden gem ✨️

There isn't anything to dislike about this hotel, it's staff or location.

What's not to like a warm welcome when you arrive by the friendly and helpful hosts Gary and Veronica as are all the staff at the Dinorben. The breakfast choice is huge, with many choices with a full breakfast made to order which sets you up for a full day walking sightseeing or in my case fishing. The bar serves a wide variety of well priced drinks and an evening menu large tasty and cheap. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. I have lost count the amount of times I have been there but obviously won't be my last. Thanks again Gary and Veronica x

Nice, quirky hotel with car park. Stylish, colourful interior design.Friendly, helpful staff. Sufficient and great variety of breakfast. Room and beds were comfortable.Complimentary toiletries. Restaurant and bar are on site but the noise was not bothering us. The village has a hidden gem called 'The Creek' with astonishing views.

Bedsheets and floor could be cleaner. The building is a bit outdated.

The staff were friendly and check in was fast and easy. The location was excellent being right in the main street. Breakfast was excellent with both continental and cooked available. The room was clean and larger than normal and the bed comfortable. Free parking was available at the back of the hotel and the area was large. Although meals weren't available in the hotel Sunday night, the staff allowed us to bring food into the hotel and were happy to provide cutlery and crockery.

Chairs were not provided in our room so we had no convenient place to sit.
