Breakfast was very good - freshly cooked and tasty . We arrived on the Sunday - the only day they don’t serve evening meals due to the busy carvery they have at lunch time. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful - they told us where we could get a take away in the village and allowed us to bring it back to the bar - and provided plates and cutlery . The rest of the week we ate at the hotel and the food was excellent- pub type food but plenty of choice.

Amlwych is showing the sign of the times - with nothing really to do there- so transport is needed to go further afield. But Anglesey is a lovely island and there are many beautiful places to see

We stayed over one night for our trip to north Anglesey, with our little dog, staff were brilliant, and room was excellent value for money. Location wise, it was 10 mins drive to the beach, easily accessible and there were a number of dog friendly pubs and cafes nearby.

The room wasn't bad. However, it was a bit dusty. When stepping the beds to leave, we found the duvet had stains on it. Also, the room had a sash window and a small window box that our dog could have gotten up to and perhaps fell or jumped out of, so we could only open it slightly.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the last 2 years, and it never fails to disappoint. It is clean, warm, and full of character and history. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. They are brilliant with welcoming dogs. The bar is well stocked and the food is fantastic, especially the cooked breakfast. Veronica and Gary are the perfect hostess and host. We have booked another 3 visits this year. The location is perfect 👌. All I can say is pay them a visit and see for yourself you won't be disappointed a hidden gem ✨️

What's not to like a warm welcome when you arrive by the friendly and helpful hosts Gary and Veronica as are all the staff at the Dinorben. The breakfast choice is huge, with many choices with a full breakfast made to order which sets you up for a full day walking sightseeing or in my case fishing. The bar serves a wide variety of well priced drinks and an evening menu large tasty and cheap. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. I have lost count the amount of times I have been there but obviously won't be my last. Thanks again Gary and Veronica x

The staff were friendly and check in was fast and easy. The location was excellent being right in the main street. Breakfast was excellent with both continental and cooked available. The room was clean and larger than normal and the bed comfortable. Free parking was available at the back of the hotel and the area was large. Although meals weren't available in the hotel Sunday night, the staff allowed us to bring food into the hotel and were happy to provide cutlery and crockery.

Chairs were not provided in our room so we had no convenient place to sit.

+ Nice retro-style decorations. + Superb breakfast with lot of choices for eating and coffee available from machine. + Outstanding friendliness for pets! We've chosen this hotel for travel with our dog following other reviews and we haven't mistaken about it. The hosts even provided us a separate breakfast space, so our dog could join us too. If I come to Anglesey again, I won't think twice of re-booking it.

- Sound isolation from the hallway and areas downstairs were rather average. Perhaps, would be acceptable enough for human guests but the doggy was kept disturbed and anxious all the time by loud groups of other guests wandering the corridors outside of our door (I know, it was major holiday time in the UK...). - Room didn't have enough sockets to reach conveniently by both sides of our bed. - Ah, of course: old-fashioned British separate hot/cold taps is a substantial inconvenience! Just one of those annoying remnants of traditional Victorian technologies which I'd be rather happy never to meet in my life. :-)

I was pleasantly surprised by the Dinorben Arms hotel in Amlwch. It's a small town, so I wasn't expecting the hotel to be as good as it was. The room was spacious, clean and warm. The bathroom was also spacious and the shower had hot water at all times. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Wifi was good.

No complaints on anything, but we didn't eat at the hotel, so I can make no comment on the food.

Everything was jolly good, 😊 faultless I d say extremely well run in a friendly but professional way. My little dog and I felt most welcome after our long journey and she soon felt at home . The place is spacious, well appointed spotless and obviously popular with locals and tourists alike. This is an ideal base for walkers and those wishing to explore the islands history. Excellent breakfast and sensible evening menu.The large car park with ease of access is an added bonus . Would not hesitate to recommend and would certainly return .

It was a last minute booking and we just wanted a clean bed, good ale and good food with friendly people and we got all of that. Some music in the pub as background would have helped with the uncomfortable fact that people were able to hear conversations due to few people in bar on a Monday! Got a bit weird but an experience. Great to be able to take our dog in pub while we ate. Breakfast was lovely. Being vegetarian we were pleasantly surprised and left feeling full and ready to walk it all off!

Then room was quite tawdry, in dire need of updating, decorating and not particularly clean. The bathroom was grim. It needs fully updating. The pipework round the sink was awful, the shower head was too heavy for the rail. The bathromm floor did not appear to have been cleaned. We only stayed 1 night so it was OK for us. I appreciate the hotel was very old but it really needs some care and attention.
