We stayed in one of the gatehouse rooms, a little away from the main hotel. It was absolutely charming, with a sitting room and private parking. Excellent bed and excellent shower, with good pillows (which make an amazing difference between an OK hotel stay and a great hotel stay). Dinner and breakfast at the hotel we’re both very very good, with excellent options for breakfast. The restaurant has beautiful views. Staff was incredibly attentive and very nice. Overall, the hotel was quiet, very clean and very comfortable. definitely would recommend to stay here.

The bedroom was a little small, so we had to squeeze around the end of the bed between the bed and the mantle piece of the small fireplace. It’s just about at hip level so you can bash into it.. But considering I run into things all the time, that’s definitely my fault

The location was excellent as anywhere on the island is only 30 minutes away. The room was comfortable and quiet with excellent facilities. Everything was there for you without having to ask. The breakfasts were excellent, probably up there with the best, the food was cooked. Perfectly. We had dinner on both nights we were there and the food was superb at reasonable cost. All the staff were very friendly. I couldn’t fault this hotel, having stayed in many over the years. You wont go wrong with this choice. Excellent

The only negative thing was the Heating wasn't powerful enough and thats if I had to look for a negative was really cold through the night . But on the plus side the bedding was exceptional together with the staff , atmosphere, meal and location and Room 21 was ideal . Outstanding a cut above the rest and we have stayed in all of the local hotels. Keep up the good work guys .....your smashing it . Definitely returning . 😍

Everything about Lastra is perfect, especially for Families and dog-lovers. Dogs are considered more than any other place I’ve ever stayed; they have a little kit in the room for you and then a dog washing station after muddy walks! The bar and food are fantastic, and the staff are brilliant from start to finish. All so polite, attentive and friendly! Rooms are spacious, very very clean and incredibly comfortable. With all the amenities, and great bathroom. Try to request a front facing room for the sunset view!

Nothing, but we did have a rear facing room (wasn’t aware about front facing request) so we missed having a view of what is brilliant landscape surrounding the building. Unfortunately just a stone wall haha!

Lastra is a lovely place to stay, our room was very comfortable and spacious and was absolutely perfectly clean. The Graneri restaurant is a very pleasant space and the food was good in the evening. Breakfast in the morning was also in the Graneri and was excellent. It's a while since we've had a breakfast where everything was served to us at the table so it was a nice change. A little bonus is that almost all the staff speak Cymraeg, a good place to go for conversation!

Whole experience was perfect, friendly staff, nice big bedroom and bed, good shower, and a good breakfast, couldn’t ask for more. We also ate in their restaurant (twice), both time we had excellent meals and good wine to match. 10 out of 10 for everything.

The weather….. but that was out of the control of the hotel. LOL.

Beautiful location and Elaine the owner was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 15, it is beautiful with a lovely patio and amazing views and we were thrilled with the little doggy pack. We loved the cosy fireplace, the bed and duvet was so comfortable and a great shower too. The breakfast was excellent, with a great choice. We loved our stay at this dog friendly hotel, we can’t wait to come back again.

The hotel is situated in Amlwch in the north of Anglesey. We stayed here as we wanted to bring our children to Anglesey for a stop over before we returned home. We had 2 double rooms with ensuite and they were both spotlessly clean, very comfy and had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was excellent, staff were friendly no complaints. Breakfast was also fantastic and I would recommend the Full Welsh breakfast. Great place to stay

Nothing ticked all the boxes for us

We felt really looked after. We arrived in gale force winds and there was something banging against the roof of our room. We went downstairs and told Reception and they moved us straight away to a bigger room, which was warm and comfortable. The on site restaurant is excellent and people travel across the island to go there. Lovely breakfast and one of the staff kindly transported our hiking bags to our next hotel for us too. Couldn’t ask for more!
