This is a lovely old traditional hotel, in an excellent location. The rooms are big with big peces of old furniture, no 21st century here. I loved it. But maybe it's not for you if you like minimalist and white plastic.

However, we chose it because it is dog friendly, and they have separate dining rooms for guests staying with dogs..but as breakfast is served buffet style in the main dining room you had to walk along 2 corridors and a half flight of stairs to get your food. This is completely impractical. We have stayed in many dog friendly hotels, and the breakfast is cooked to order and served at your table. I'm afraid the breakfast set up here would prevent me coming back to what is an otherwise excellent hotel.

Brilliant breakfasts, the wardrobe hangers were unusual in design an difficult to reach for an average height disabled person.i Location was easy to find within the town both from the main street and from the rear, through the car park. All staff were very helpful and willing to assist whatever and whenever issues were raised.

The car park layout is difficult to use. Most of the “normal” “side by side” spaces are too narrow for today’s vehicles and there wasn’t a specified “disabled” parking area. Both of us are walking disabled and need extra width space to enter/exit our car. Whilst we were there we saw a number of others with walking sticks/wheelchairs who would also benefit.

We loved the entire visit so much we intended to return in July, however, although we try not to speed we were done for speeding, if this can happen to us it can happen to anyone at any time in Wales, we therefore decided to avoid the country in future after a lifetime of holidays on Anglesey!

The location is simply amazing. We loved the fact of having the sea right there, although your room had no view. The staff are very kind, in particular the restaurant staff, kudos to the waitresses! The food is great, the breakfast was always hot and tasty. And dinners were absolutely delicious, we got to try some dishes we never had before. Absolutely recommended! Also Beaumaris is such a cute town.

The building is quite old and you can see this from the finishing touches, especially in the toilet, which also missed the brush (at least in our bedroom) Our room had spiderwebs and spiders in almost each ceiling corners, not a big deal, however it'd be great to remove those, in particular for arachnophobic people.

The Staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choices. The hotel itself was like stepping back to a time when good service and attention to detail and the needs of residents was the norm instead of the exception. We were on a short two day break for our 30th wedding anniversary, it was our first visit to the hotel, but the owner delivered a 30th anniversary card to our room personally which was a very nice and thoughtful thing to do. The hotel was clean and there were plenty of quiet areas to sit in comfort during the day and evening. A special mention should go to the extremely pleasant lady who managed the breakfast room, she had a great sense of humour and she took the time to make sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble,

Some might say it looked a bit dated but in our opinion this only added to the charm of the hotel.

The restaurant staff were very friendly & efficient especially the red haired lady who took our order, she had a lovely manner. Breakfast was excellent with a huge selection on offer. We ate at the hotel in the evening which exceeded our expectations, the portions were large & everything was hot and tasty. The hotel & bedrooms were spotless & the cleaning staff very friendly.

We booked two rooms, one was lovely but the other was dark, tired & miserable with a bathroom which was outdated & had an old yellow bath. After speaking to the receptionist staff this was changed to a much better room next door to our other room.

Great location and lovely historic building tastefully styled, clean and well looked after. Room was beautiful although view was disappointing, next time I’d upgrade to a sea view. Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely breakfast with great choice. There were also games in the lounge such as chess, scrabble, dominos etc which was great in the evening to entertain my daughter but some of the pieces were missing so we had to improvise! Still great fun though.

The shower only had a waterfall until over the head, no shower attachment and no shower caps. But that’s a very minor detail that wouldn’t bother most people (just women not wanting to get their hair wet in the shower!) overall I would highly recommend and definitely visit again!

The location is outstanding. Front door opens out on main shopping area and landmarks while the rear door opens out on to the green, pier and big wheel a few minutes walk away. The building and furniture mostly retain the ambience of Georgian opulence. Our room was pricey but again retained some of the features of the period, and the views of the strait and the mountains was superb. The breakfast choice and attentive restaurant staff lived up to the expectations set by the rest of the hotel . Full marks.

It's a dog friendly hotel. Although it didn't affect us in our room I noticed that someone had left their dog barking in their room while they presumably went to breakfast. I don't like they idea that our room may have had dog hairs and mites in it . The bathroom was ok and had one of those trendy white tubs. Although it looked clean one could feel scum around the water line. You need to be lucky to get onsite parking, otherwise you have to find your own parking somewhere.

The staff were friendly and very efficient. We were upgraded to a sea view room from a room (220) which was in need of modernisation. We were fortunate that the hotel had an available room to move us to. The food was delicious- we had an evening meal and breakfast. We both enjoyed our meals. The upgraded bedroom was spotless and couldn’t be faulted. Very central, great location and views.

Room 220 is in need of modernisation, has a very old fashioned en-suite, and the light fixtures were broken and the curtains tatty. Just felt ‘tired.’ There was a big difference to the room we moved to which was gorgeous in comparison!

The rooms are huge with plenty of storage and pretty much everything you need for a hotel stay. We booked the deluxe see view. Bed was very comfortable .We used the restaurant twice in the evening the food and service was excellent. The bathroom was huge with both a bath and a walk in shower

The bed was looking very tatty so spoilt the room as everything else was so nice. Water pressure was very poor in the shower. We didn't realise we had to book in every morning for breakfast so the second day we were told ' you can sit there and only there' felt we were an inconvenience.
