The hotel seems to have undergone a total refurbishment with everywhere fresh and clean. We liked the spaciousness in the down stairs area. Comfortable bar. Breakfast on the terrace a delight, as was the view from the garden of the Menai Straits below. Food very good, plenty choice. Staff helpful and friendly. Room good. Parking not always available at busy times but car parks close by at reasonable rates. No lift, but we managed the stairs up to the second floor. Will be re-booking for our next stay on Anglesey.

The only problem for us was that the exceptionally hot weather we had during our stay made sleeping difficult especially as we weren’t able to open the sash window very far, for safety reasons, but the electric fan provided in the room was helpful.

This is a beautiful hotel with stunning views. The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was delicious, with much of it made from fresh local produce. One highlight for me was the toasted brioche with yoghurt and berries drizzled with honey something I wouldn’t normally choose, but I’m so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious, and I’m inspired to try recreating it at home.

Our family room was clean, tidy, and beautifully decorated. The bathroom, however, could do with a small worktop for toiletries, rather than just a cupboard under the sink and the water could have been a little hotter. Overall though, the room itself was lovely and well presented.

Lovely hotel, as the bar and restaurant were modern and spacious and there was a lovely beer garden with great views. The bedroom was also moden, well designed and comfortable, with all the facilities you would expect/require. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we received excellent service throughout our stay. The hotel was also very accommodating with our dog and it is a hotel I would recommend and we are already planning our next trip.

The bar was a bit noisy on the first night of our stay, but it was a bank holiday weekend so to be expected. Car park is small and had difficulty parking at times, but it does make it clear on the website and there are other pay and display car parks nearby.

Hotel was lovely and the staff so friendly , we eat in the hotel each morning and one evening. Nathan who was on duty in the morning was excellent and helpful. A lovely young man who always had a smile. We had breakfast in the package , there was lots of choice , the restaurant had views over the Menai Staights that were spectacular . We noticed that all the staff seemed to be like a big happy family.

Our room Number 1 was allocated to us , because I had requested a walk in shower. but the room was connected to the kitchen and we had lots of noise and what seemed like a microwave pinging . once 10.15pm arrived the kitchen was closed so we did have quite night until 6.30am when the kitchen opened again. We don't feel it was the staff's fault, kitchens are busy and noisy but maybe the room shouldn't be used for guests.

The Victoria is in a great location, very tastefully decorated & all round fab hotel ❤️ We stayed in room 18 - top floor with a small balcony overlooking the bay - top of the stairs The outdoor seating area would be great in the summer Staff - friendly, chatty & helpful - big shout out to Charlene working in the restaurant Short drive to Beaumaris for coffee & cake Lots of independent cafes within a short walking distance - the one near the crossroads did gorgeous homemade pizza

The bedroom was well designed, a lovely colour scheme, comfortable bed and a wide range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate provided. The bathroom was spotless, with plenty of room for toiletries. The young man who checked us in and took orders during breakfast was friendly and efficient. We had no trouble finding a parking space on a Monday evening. The main problem with the bedroom was the green security light which stayed on all night and prevented me from sleeping properly. Our room looked out over the car park, and a delivery lorry arrived, making a fair amount of noise, at 6.45 am. There was only one bedside light, which seemed a bit odd. The buffet part of the breakfast can best be described as sparse, with only 2 croissants, 2 danish pastries, a couple of pieces of fruit and no jam. It really didn’t look at all inviting.

Lovely cosy atmosphere in the pub, evening meal and the breakfast was very nice and well presented. The bedrooms were lovely and quiet with the doors closing without making a noise. The bed was large and comfy. The bathroom was tiny but adequate and very clean. My mum and I had a little juliet balcony overlooking the menai straight and we had the door open over night and it was very peaceful. The staff were so helpful making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was served in the conservatory with the sun was shining. we chose to have breakfast in the pub area so as our labrador could sit with us.

Food was excellent, service was excellent, view was beautiful. Breakfast excellent. Served hot giving us time to have cereals etc first. Staff very attentive. Evening meal which we bought as an extra was lovely and good choice. Really friendly hotel all modernised nothing was too much trouble. All staff very helpful. Dinning area was in a lovely setting with views over the Menai Straight. Would recommend this hotel.

First given a small room but as the bathroom radiator wasn’t working we were given a bigger and much better room. I wouldn’t recommend the original room as very small and no seating area and on the second floor a lot of stairs to climb as there’s no lift. The room we were moved to was on the first floor and easier to access. Disappointed that the towels and bedding weren’t changed during a three night stay and after the first night although the bin was emptied the room wasn’t cleaned nor the bed made. This was minor and didn’t spoil our enjoyment of our stay.

The staff working in the hotel and the bar/restaurant were very friendly & helpful. The room (17) had all the things we needed - comfortable king bed; good shower; kettle with drinks (including 2 hot chocs & 2 packs of biscuits); good sized TV with ability to use your own phone to mirror image. We got a parking slot - NB the restaurant is clearly v popular on a Sunday afternoon so the car park is rammed at this time. The view from the bedroom window over the Menai Straits was great. We had a quiet Sunday night. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice.

No moans but a few observations. We were disappointed to miss out on the Sunday roasts in the evening as all sold by then but that's life at times - get in there early! The hotel does warn guests about parking being a lottery (but other car parks not too far away) & no lifts so go with that in mind. The bathroom in our room was, shall we say, bijoux, ie small - perfectly functional & fine for us & I am sure for most folk but if you are XXL or like to luxuriate then you may want to check what the ensuite will be like in your room.

Great staff. Beautifully decorated throughout. Really welcoming and a fantastic beer garden with a view to die for. Evening meal was really good. Lots to choose from and cooked very well. Great service and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also great but slightly smaller portions than expected. The proximity and view of the Menai straits was ideal.

The room was premium price presumably because of the view but spoiled by a TV aerial and two kitchen exhaust chimneys. I felt like I was wearing the shower cubicle which was far too small and the room could not be described as lavish and no air conditioning. There was also a barking dog in the next room during the early evening that was clearly left by its owners while they were out and about. I did mention this to the staff and they were happy to find the owners but I did not force the issue as all was quiet later on.
